EXAM SIMULATOR, NOT A VIDEO COURSE. Every minute here is spent on exam-style questions: timed like the real exam and reviewed option by option. Use it after you have studied, to find out whether you are ready and exactly where you would lose marks.
WHY THESE EXAMS
5 full length practice exams, 300 original questions, each exam 60 questions in 90 minutes with a 75 percent pass mark, the same shape as the OpenTelemetry Certified Associate (OTCA) exam from the Linux Foundation and CNCF.
Every answer option explained, not only the correct one, with a key takeaway and a link to the OpenTelemetry documentation behind the question.
Every question tagged with its domain and weighted like the real exam: the OpenTelemetry API and SDK (46 percent), the OpenTelemetry Collector (26 percent), Fundamentals of Observability (18 percent), Maintaining and Debugging Observability Pipelines (10 percent).
23 scenario questions with exhibits: Collector pipeline configurations, trace waterfalls, span attribute tables and metric charts you read before choosing, the way you read them on call.
Two ways to study: Exam mode, timed and scored, or Practice mode, untimed with instant feedback, filtered by domain.
Multiple choice questions in the single-answer format the OTCA exam uses.
WHAT YOU GET. Questions follow the four domains of the official OTCA curriculum: the OpenTelemetry API and SDK (tracers, spans, context propagation, metrics instruments, logs bridge, resources, samplers, exporters and the OTLP protocol), the OpenTelemetry Collector (receivers, processors, exporters, connectors, pipelines, agent versus gateway deployment), Fundamentals of Observability (traces, metrics and logs, signal correlation, semantic conventions, instrumentation approaches) and Maintaining and Debugging Observability Pipelines (troubleshooting data loss, backpressure, batching, memory limits, telemetry schemas). The five exams build on each other: the first covers the domains evenly, the middle three go deeper into the areas candidates most often confuse (context propagation across services, instrument types, processor ordering, sampling strategies), and the last is a harder mixed review.
HOW THE QUESTIONS ARE WRITTEN. Most questions put you in a situation an engineer actually faces: a trace that breaks at a queue boundary, a Collector that drops spans under load, a metric that reports the wrong aggregation. You read the exhibit or the scenario, then choose the option that the OpenTelemetry documentation supports. Distractors are plausible mistakes, not obvious wrong answers. Every question was written from the public OpenTelemetry documentation and the published OTCA curriculum. Nothing is copied from the real exam or from anyone else's practice tests.
WHO THIS IS FOR. Software engineers, SREs, DevOps and platform engineers preparing for the OpenTelemetry Certified Associate (OTCA) exam, and anyone who wants to measure how well they understand OpenTelemetry instrumentation and the Collector before sitting the exam.
