In this lecture we will discuss the hazards that exist and how to identify them. We will learn how these hazards are caused, what causes cave-ins, and how to avoid them.

Increase your expertise and correlate how confined spaces relate to trenches and excavations, and the hazards that a confined space creates. We will identify various examples of a confined space and the dangers that lurk within due to the hazardous atmospheres they cause and then wrap up with other examples of trench hazards and job site inspection.

This course will focus on OSHA's Soil, Trenching, and Excavation standard 1926 Subpart P, however, it is designed to further develop the team member in becoming a well rounded, safety conscious enabler.
