Description

Oracle Tax Reporting Cloud is a comprehensive global tax provision solution for multi-national companies reporting under GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or IFRS (International Finance Reporting Standards). The solution encompasses all stages of the corporate tax provision process, including tax automation, data collection, tax provision calculation, return-to-accrual automation, tax reporting and analysis, and Country by Country (CbCR) reporting.

Application Setup and Configuration: Creating and managing a TRCS application, configuring entities, jurisdictions, and dimensions.

  1. Data Management and Integration: Loading trial balance data, tax rates, and metadata from various source systems using Data Integration and Smart View.

  2. Tax Automation: Working with tax automation rules (e.g., pull, move, squeeze logic) to link book data to tax accounts and automate permanent/temporary differences.

  3. Calculations and Provisions: Setting up tax rates, running business rules for calculating current and deferred tax provisions, and managing the return to accrual automation process.

  4. Reporting and Analysis: Designing and managing standard and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and books using Financial Reporting Studio and Smart View for analysis.

  5. Workflow and Task Management: Using Task Manager to organize activities, assign responsibilities, and monitor the progress of the tax close process.

  6. Security Administration: Setting up and managing user roles, access controls, and data security.

  7. System Maintenance: Understanding migration, backup and restoration processes, and using EPM Automate for routine tasks.
