Welcome to this course!
Let's go through the prerequisite tools for this course.
In this lecture you will install Putty and create SSH Public and Private keys.
Welcome to this section. Get ready to create your first instance.
In this lecture, you will learn how to get free trial access to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
In this lecture, you will learn about Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Tenancy. You learn about
1. What is OCI Tenancy
2. How it is assigned to a region
3. What is OCID
In this lecture, you will learn about OCI User and groups.
In this lecture, you will learn about the compartment and create a new compartment. You will understand.
1. What is root compartment.
2. Why to create a different compartment.
3. Compartment hierarchy
In this lecture, you will learn about virtual cloud network (vcn) and all it's components like
1. Subnet
2. Route table
3. Security list
Ingress rule
Engress rule
In this lecture, you will create OCI instance with Oracle Linux image, Boot volume, and attach your public ssh key. You will review OCID, FQDN and other details of the instance.
In this lecture, you will access the instance through OCI console. You will setup the instance access through Putty by defining the connection and adding a private key.
In this lecture, you will access the instance. Review the authorized_keys file. Make it so that you can directly login as root user and don't have to login as opc first. You will also run lsblk command and see the partition and other details.
Welcome to this section of course. In this section you will understand OCI architecture and it's different artifacts.
In this lecture you will go through OCI architecture and review role of below components.
1. Region
2. Virtual Cloud Network (VCN)
3. Internet Gateway
4. Dynamic Routing Gateway (DRG)
5. Availability Domain
6. Subnet
7. Route Table
8. Route Rule
9.Security List
10. Service Gateway
11. Tenancy
12. Compartment
13. Object Storage
14. IPSec Tunnel
15. Oracle Fast Connect Network
In this lecture, you will learn about networking in OCI. You will learn about:
Internet Gateway (IG)
Service Gateway
Network Address Translation (NAT)
Dynamic Routing Gateway(DRG)
Remote Peering(RPG)
IPSec Tunnel
Fast Connect
In this lecture, you will learn about NAT Gateway and associated subnet, route rules.
In this lecture, you will add a new 3TB block volume to your instance. You will learn about block volume, block volume backup policies, attaching block volume to an instance, disk partition, mounting block volume to Linux directory in /etc/fstab.
In this lecture, you will learn about object storage. You will learn about Public/ Private access to object storage. Pre-authenticated Requests (PAR). You create an object storage bucket and upload a document. You will access the storage through OCI Console as well as through PAR.
Welcome to this section of course. You will learn about and use OCI in this section of the course.
In this lecture, you will install the OCI Command-line interface (CLI) in a Unix environment.
Below is the command
bash -c "$(curl -L https://raw.githubusercontent.com/oracle/oci-cli/master/scripts/install/install.sh)"
In this lecture you will configure OCI Command Line Interface (CLI). You will create private and public PEM keys, register them in OCI console and compare their fingerprints.
This lecture will take you through important cli commands. You will go through oci commands like version details, compartment details, object volume creation etc. and understand how to get the details behind a cli command.
In this lecture you will create new OCI compartment using command line interface (OCI).
In this lecture you will create virtual cloud network (vcn) under your new compartment using cli.
In this lecture you will create vcn subnet.
In this lecture you will create Internet Gateway.
In this video you will create route rule.
In this lecture you will create new instance.
Command to create instance:
oci compute instance launch --availability-domain <availability domain name> -c <compartment ocid> --shape <shape name> --display-name <instance name> --image-id <image ocid> --subnet-id <subnet ocid>
In this lecture, you will go through OCI Policy-based backups: Bronze, Silver, Gold. You will implement these policies on your volume.
Cloud is everywhere! Cloud is future!
Be it a startup or big enterprises, everyone is adopting cloud. Cloud architects and in demand and this demand is only going to grow.
Don't be left out. If you want to have a thriving IT career full of opportunities, you should learn the cloud.
Why learn Oracle Cloud?
1. Oracle is a major ERP vendor. Oracle is encouraging their customers very hard to move to the cloud.
2. Most of Oracle ERP customers are moving to Oracle cloud to gain efficiency and reduce their IT expenses.
3. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure has utilities available for Oracle ERP lift and shifts from on-premise to cloud. Hence most Oracle customers prefer Oracle Cloud Infrastructure over other providers.
Consider this, even if only 50% of current Oracle ERP customers decide to move to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), there will be a huge demand and supply gap for OCI architect. Make yourself ready, for these opportunities.
With several OCI implementation under our belt, we bring you this course, because we believe in sharing knowledge and creating a community of experts.
Don't hold anymore!
