- Support
- Resistance
- Uptrend
- Downtrend
We'll go over some stocks that I've analysed in the past and give you a high level overview of the key terms and levels that are commonly used in many trading and investing strategies.
The world of technical analysis is vast. It's important to focus on the most important terms and ensure that you don't get confused or too technical early on. Many of these terms will come up again when you delve deeper into trading.
If you need to pause the course and write down some notes or pull up a chart and look into some of your favourite stocks, make sure to do so!
Lecture 6
Investing and trading can be a quick cash grab for companies who make you believe you need to pay for services and information.
Although I use some analysis tools for my active trading, there are multiple sites available online where you do not need to pay a cent and can still access top class information and tools.
Before committing your money to a company selling information, use these sites first and have an explore!
Make sure you pull up a browser and check these out. I've book marked these myself and still use them to this day.
Lecture 7 & 8
In these lectures we will introduce new and prospective investors or traders into some key psychological terms that will potentially save them from making costly mistakes when they begin their journey.
These lessons include:
- The fear of missing out (FOMO) and how to overcome it
- Over-trading and also how to reduce the likelihood of it occurring
This is a primer for trading and will be expanded in future courses. It is mentioned in beginner course to assist propsective investors in understanding what it takes to invest and be successful in the stock market.
Lecture 7
Fear is a powerful emotion that can lead to truly disastrous consequences in the stock market. In Lecture 7 we will talk at a high level about fear and how you can keep it under wraps.
The fear of missing out is a huge lesson that has kept me from making calculated investment decisions on a number of occasions. Enjoy the lesson, it's one that I hope sticks with you for years to come.
Lecture 8
Lecture 8 is a carry on from the previous lecture regarding FOMO trading. If you have any questions please feel free to pause the video and ask us on the Udemy page!
Lecture 9
A trading or investment plan is a sure fire way of overcoming indecision and anxiety when trading the financial markets. Make sure that you pick something that suits your personality as failure to do so will cause a massive personal disconnect.
In this lecture we will cover the key elements of a trading plan and why they are so important. I would highly suggest writing these down. When you search for a trading plan or strategy of your own these points are absolutely essential.
Knowing what you want to buy is easy. Knowing how much to buy, when to buy and also when to sell is a bit trickier. Although we aren't recommending a specific strategy here. We are giving you the tools to find one which needs to meet these criteria - without exception.

Bonus Lecture: The Pyramid of Trading and Investing
In this lecture we will re-iterate the importance of trading and investment psychology coupled with our proprietary ' trading hierarchy '.
The trading Hierarchy explains in depth how to move from unconscious incompetency to conscious competency and clearly identifies where prospective investors are within their own life-cycle.
At the end of our course we will provide traders with a checklist which can be used as a guide to make informed investment decisions moving forward.
This short course is ideal for those with little or no stock market experience who want to find out what it's all about. We created this course for those who want to know more about buying and selling stocks online but get overwhelmed with the mass of information available online.
We will cover some basic but important topics such as:
What is a stock?
What is the stock market?
How do people buy and sell stocks online?
A introduction to brokers and brokerages
Some key terms you will hear when looking at charts
Basics of supply and demand economics (why the price can go up or down).
There are tons of online courses about complex trading strategies that can be overly complicated and confusing. We believe in building your skills from the ground up.
Far too many people buy and sell stocks online and have little idea as to what they are doing and why. This can lead to huge financial loss, confusion and in some cases personal ruin.
This course will give you a strong foundation on key terms used in investing which will enable you to find your own strategy in the near future. It's super easy to follow and will give you some useful tools in building and developing an investment strategy to help you achieve your financial goals in the future.
Remember, to build any skill you need a strong foundation. This course provides the foundations I wish I had when I started trading 10 years ago.
I hope you enjoy the course as much as we enjoyed making it!
