Notion is the blank canvas that allows you to creatively organize your life. In this class, we'll learn how to use formulas from scratch. Formulas are a great next step to take to add functionality to your Notion databases. We'll go over some basic ways of using functions and build up to some more complex use cases. The class structure is designed to make learning effective by having bite-size lessons that are meant to be taken once per day by spending around 10min each day. Spreading out your learning results in better use of your attention and energy.

What will I learn in this class?

After this class, you will know how to use formulas, where to go to deepen your learning and excellent real-life examples. Throughout the lessons, you will learn the following:

  2. True or False Operators

  3. If Statements

  4. Getting Creative With Formulas

Why should I take this class?

Learning how to use functions in Notion will take you to the next step of organizing your life and work with the application. Formulas allow you to step into use cases that were not possible before, one great example from the course is that you'll be able to know when dates are past due and when it is necessary to flag based on other properties of your database. This and much more is possible once you learn how to use this feature.

Who is this class for?

This class is meant for anyone who has been using Notion and is ready to take the next step. The app is so intuitive that complete beginners would be able to follow along as well. This class is for you if you want to unlock this useful stepping stone in Notion.

Final Project:

The class project is for you to create your own database with functions. Notion is such a powerful tool that you could build pretty much anything you can imagine. I will be building a Customer Relationship Management board throughout the course so you can follow along and turn it into your class project if you want to.

Follow these steps to complete the class project:

  1. On day one, create your project even before starting the first lesson (following along with the class).

  2. Go through the lessons and make updates to your project as you go. You can upload screenshots of what you build and share your Notion pages' URLs.

  3. Once you go through all the lessons, post your final version of your Notion database with a description stating how it's used.

Who this course is for:

  • You've used Notion before but are looking to take the next step in organizing your life and work.
