Author, Speaker, Community Development Organizer
Arif Gilany is a former Kurdish refugee that made it to his dream destination in Canada, back in 1993 after passing through five foreign countries in four years.
Mr. Gilany is an entrepreneur, author, and business consultant with superb interpersonal, team building, negotiating and multilingual skills. He launched Gilany Leadership Academy to fulfill his lifelong dream of inspiring, coaching and mentoring the next generation of leaders.
Arif Gilany began his career at FedEx Corporation, travelling across North America to manage various teams for peak performance and production.
In 2006, using these skills, he built the third largest organization within a top financial company in Canada. In 2013 he founded The Camel Company of Canada and in 2018 expanded operations internationally managing teams in North America, the Middle East and Asia.
Arif has worked and travelled to more than 50 counties and has gained a vast perspective in intercultural communication. DeVry Business University and earned a degree in Information Technology. He is currently a professor at Soran Universities Career Development in Kurdistan Region online and he is the Public Relations and communications officer at The Great Toronto, Kurdish House.
