Discover networking concepts and how to build and deploy services on Microsoft Edge, including DNS, traffic manager, firewall express, virtual networks, network security groups, and cloud shell, with practical examples.
Discover DNS in Azure, hosting DNS zones for name resolution via a network of DNS name servers. Use alias records, Traffic Manager, DNS Firewall, and IAM roles for security.
Explore how dns-based traffic manager routes requests to optimal global endpoints for high availability and performance, using latency, round robin, failover, geographic routing, and geo fencing.
Enable a cloud-native Azure firewall that centrally governs all traffic with application and network level filtering, plus stateful protection, logging, and log analytics across subscriptions.
ExpressRoute creates private connections between on-premises and Azure, delivering higher reliability and lower latency with up to 200 bandwidth per second, enabling private networks without the public internet.
Unify global enterprise connectivity in the cloud with Azure virtual WAN. Connect branches and on-premises via virtual hubs, site-to-site vpn, express route, and centralized security.
Explore Azure virtual networks (VNet) to isolate cloud resources, segment into subnets, configure DNS, and connect on-premises via site-to-site or ExpressRoute for hybrid topologies.
Learn to create an Azure virtual network via the command prompt, log in to Azure, choose a subscription, assign a resource group, and configure IP address ranges and subnets.
Learn to create an azure vnet with an address prefix and a subnet. Manage it in a resource group with list, show, update, and delete commands, dns configuration, and endpoints.
Learn how Azure network security groups enforce inbound and outbound traffic with rules and diagnostic logs within virtual networks, and how application security groups and default rules secure cloud deployments.
Explore Azure network security groups (NSG) to filter inbound and outbound traffic, attach to a subnet or network interface, and manage rules via create, update, show, and delete commands.
Install the Azure CLI on Windows and platforms, then verify the installation from the command prompt. Sign in via a browser to access Azure services and manage storage or containers.
Discover how to use Azure Cloud Shell to set up a storage account and file share, mount cloud drives, access a terminal, choose bash, and manage config and files.
Connect to cloud shell, create and edit a python script, and run it in the terminal to print hello world using the python interpreter and pip install for packages.
Explore using the command-line interface and PowerShell on Windows to run commands, check installation status, log in, and access essential cloud resources such as backups, billing, and cloud-connected services.
Explore the AWS VPC dashboard to manage networking entities like subnets, routing tables, internet gateways, and security rules, and learn how to monitor and customize defaults for secure connectivity.
Design and create a virtual private cloud (vpc) by defining subnets, ip blocks, routing options, and tags, then configure logs, storage, and vpn connections across regions.
Create a subnet in the BBC cloud dashboard by naming it, selecting East Virginia as the region, and choosing the IP version, with routing tables and an internet gateway available.
This course is all about learning various cloud networking options available on Microsoft AZURE cloud platform. You will be learning all of the networking tools and services available on Microsoft Azure cloud computing platform. When you are putting your critical assets on cloud, specially if you are managing or creating a cloud infrastructure that spans over hybrid cloud model, you are expected to be comfortable with these Network options on Azure. You can integrate these network services with any resource you have on the cloud. Be it Firewall or Virtual network, you can also create a security group policy with NSG. All of these services works perfect with both Azure CLI (command line interface) and with Azure dashboard.
In this course you will be learning following networking services-
What is DNS?
It is a hosting service for DNS domains that provides name resolution by using Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
What is Firewall?
It is a managed, cloud-based network security service that protects your Azure Virtual Network resources. It's a fully stateful firewall as a service with built-in high availability and unrestricted cloud scalability.
What is Traffic Manager?
It is a DNS-based traffic load balancer that enables you to distribute traffic optimally to services across global Azure regions, while providing high availability and responsiveness.
What is ExpressRoute?
It is a service that enables you to create private connections between Azure datacenters and infrastructure that's on your premises or in a colocation environment.
What is Virtual WAN?
It allows customers to connect branches to each other and Azure, centralizing their network and security needs with virtual appliances such as firewalls and Azure network and security services.
What is Azure Vnet (Virtual Network)?
It is a representation of your own network in the cloud. It is a logical isolation of the Azure cloud dedicated to your subscription. When you create a Vnet, your services and VMs within your Vnet can communicate directly and securely with each other in the cloud.
What is NSG ( Network Security Group)?
It contains security rules that allow or deny inbound network traffic to, or outbound network traffic from, several types of Azure resources. For each rule, you can specify source and destination, port, and protocol.
