Think back to a recent stressful event.
How long did it take you to return to a state of regulation after the event?
Did the emotions (fear, anxiety, anger, stress) match the situation?
How often do you experience a sense of fear or worry even though things are ok logically?

This practice teaches you how to use the respiratory diaphragm to breathe lying, on the side, and in child's pose. Make sure you shine the spotlight on your breath first and come to the present moment before doing this exercise.
Otherwise, it may cause air hunger if you do this when you are dysregulated.

Breathe into the lower ribs and think lower rib expansion to the sides.
DO NOT breathe vertically up towards you head and neck.
