Description

This course is a simple test to measure the understanding of both natural gas and its processing and the simulation using Aspen HYSYS program. This course will cover the concepts of natural gas separation using 2 or 3 phase separator and the cooling of natural gas using three different methods (cooler, exchanger, and expander).

In addition, it will cover the installation of reboiler absorber and fractional distillation and how to get converged by understanding the concept of degree of freedom. Besides discussing the set function to adjust values and inserting sub-flow sheet. Some concepts will be covered too, for instance, material stream, energy stream, valve with liquid flow, reboiler and condenser inside the distillation column.

Last, there will be a slight coverage of the mixing and compression of methane to meet the sales gas specification. The case study is available in the Case Study Lecture, so it is recommended to hit there now.

The course is divided into two sections, all the simulation will be introduced in the second section, which is divided into 20 lectures. The theoretical part is offered for free on YouTube and the link is available in Natural Gas Processing Course section.

Wish this course will meet your expectations.
