Exercise 1.
List down the dreams you intend to achieve. Group them up and create one specific goal that shows clarity. Keep in mind to specify date, place, and the benefit you are giving or how you are helping people with your service or plan.
Taken from the book Think and Grow Rich here is an example; “By the 8th day of August 2018, I will have in my possession USD 500,000 for my services of legal consultancy. My services help divorce couples deal better with their separation process.
Create one goal for; personal, family, finance, work, health, or any field you wish to improve
Exercise 2.
Do the research and even ask people around about the techniques they practiced and their comments to their experiences.
Use our mastermind group to discuss techniques and ask around their tips.
List down three potential techniques you have searched and feel comfortable. Also, keep in mind your time and space availability to make it happen. Put it down on the calendar given in the right space whether you will do it in the morning or evening.
Use the small squares to check every time you finish your task. In the case of not doing it or forgetting it, you must start all over again.
Exercise 3.
Get yourself two blank papers and two different color pencils. You will need five days to accomplish these tasks.
Get the daily intention to observe your thoughts and comments about yourself in social reunions, work tasks, family chats, and even thoughts about yourself.
Make sure you respect your privacy at the moment of putting your thoughts down.
You can also ask around to your most trustworthy friends or relatives about the same.
To help you find out the comments, you have towards yourself, I have listed a few questions. Be honest with yourself and feel free to write down any comment and thought you have.
Take notes of the beliefs you have about yourself.
What is your money management like?
Are you sociable or introverted?
Do you reach your goals? Which goals have your achieved?
Are you good at the work you do in your company?
After the five days of exploring your self-beliefs, spend a few hours in silence and at your favorite spot. Bring up the second paper and the other color pencil. It is time to create positive affirmations that will speak positively about yourself. Create one short and clear statement for each of your contrary beliefs. Also, add the reasons why you choose to change your beliefs.
Example;
The belief is;
"My boss always asks me to give a speech to the company's event. I'm a terrible public speaker, and I embarrass the company."
Affirmation;
I am a great communicator. My speeches are well received and valued. I deserve to be heard because I am creative, smart, and problem-solve oriented.
Exercise 4.
Decide whether you build a virtual or a physical version of your board.
Make sure you have daily visibility to it.
1. Pick pictures that represent what you intend to achieve in life.
Let your imagination free and allow yourself to dream big.
Make sure all the images represent everything you want to achieve (money, vacations, houses, marriage, family, job, health, body shape)
2. Duplicate pictures of your face and body and glue them on the images you collected.
3. Add your full name on the pictures with strong statements. For instance, “Carol Zurita is the No. 1 Branding Coach in Asia and SEA."
4. Add other details such as dates and places where your dream will be accomplished.
Exercise 5.
1. Using a notepad, break up the fixed income you have per month. Be honest to yourself. Avoid writing average numbers of what you perceive. Be specific at writing the exact amount after the description (it can be salary, sales, commission) In a different spot, also print the exact amount you receive monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or yearly if it applies.
2. Now below the income, it is time to detail the expenditures. Make a list of weekly and monthly expenses. You will call it "fixed expenses."
In another column, you will detail the "variable expenses," which are the quarterly, semi-annual, and annual expenses. In this space, you must list all your costs including yearly taxes, annual car maintenance, a semi-annual visit to the dentist, debts, credit cards, mortgages, life and/or health insurance, etc.
3. Now using a calculator to be precise in the calculations you will subtract all your fixed expenses from the income month by month.
4. Observe and analyze the final result. Are you happy with the results or not?
5. Now you will draw a new column. Draw crossing lines to make five boxes for; travel, studies, investment, fund, long-term savings. Following your criteria, you will prioritize the percentages that you will give to each one. Education such as reading or face-to-face and online courses are vital for your growth. Moreover, make it your priority. Now think carefully about the percentage you will send to your fun. It is your way to reward yourself when you achieve your goal. The portion for investment and savings should be significant because that is your future and that of your family. Once you have the result of the subtraction of income and expenses divided into the percentages you are decided for each of the last five categories.
6. If possible, open a new bank account for each of these new funds. So, you can have all the accounts separated and growing. The intention is to create an awareness of your finances without keeping you away from the fun.
In the next six months, you can already feel the freedom that healthy control and management of finances produces.
