This video briefly talks about who instructor of this course is and about their musical experience.
As an extra resource, you have, in EPK format, a brief dossier of Numen, a progressive rock band that I told you about during the video. In this document you have links to our website, to our social networks and even to the platforms where you can listen to our music, such as Bandcamp or Spotify, among others.
Influences that marked me personally and, in a certain way, those have been important in my compositional work.
This section will tell you about the goals to achieve during the course.
We will deal with the frequency range of the music instruments and the harmonic series.
Before arranging a song, we should plan our work, I mean, we need to know its structure, its musical climax points, etc. to distribute the arrangements properly.
In this lecture, we will talk about how each verse of Some Faith was arranged, and, therefore, about the first section of the song.
In this lecture, we will talk about the arrangements of the second section of Some faith. Also we are going to check the utility of virtual instruments as arranging assistants.
This is the last lecture dedicated to discussing the arrangements of Some faith. In addition, a series of useful considerations will be given on the question of counterpoint. To understand it better, a comparison is made with the distribution of elements in several pictures.
In this lesson, I will share with you some musical resources that can be of direct or indirect help for you in the profession of arranger.
In this last lecture, we are going to draw the final conclusions as well as the most important points to take into account in the profession of arranger and composer.
The main goal of the course is to teach the student, through a clear methodology based on professional experience of the instructor, the steps from the moment he has a musical idea until he completes the musical arrangements. You will get a well balanced and satisfactory final song. The course will deal with topics such as musical and harmonic structure, use of different musical instruments and their frequency range, balanced interaction of the different elements, etc.
All the principles and concepts will be explained by studying an instructor's song. We will start on the basis of an initial planning to know each of the stages followed in the search for a satisfactory result.
These explanations will be accompanied by illustrations, along with the corresponding musical fragments. Likewise, we will share useful resources for this task, such as what virtual instruments are, etc.
Each of the lecture is complemented, either by a task guided by means of indications and questions, or by resources that may be of interest to deepen the main topic of that lesson.
Finally, interesting resources will be shared to improve the learning of musical arrangements as well as conclusions in the form of tips to guide the student in the profession of composing and arranging their own songs.
