In this lesson, students will learn about pitch and notation, the foundation of reading music. We will explore how notes are placed on the staff, the difference between high and low sounds, and how to recognize notes in treble and bass clefs. By the end of this lesson, students will have a clear understanding of how pitch is represented in written music.
Student will be learning note names on both treble and bass clefs and also note stem directions
Student will be able to understand and identify tone and semitone intervals, as well as recognize and interpret dotted notes in musical notation
Students will be able to understand the tone and semitone pattern of major scales and apply this knowledge to recognize and construct major scales in music notation
Students will learn the quantities of intervals and simple time signatures used in music.
At the end of this session, Students will be able to understand simple time signatures, recognize rhythmic values and identify how to group bears in music for accurate rhythm reading and performance.
In this lesson, students will learn 3 note chords and accidentals including : sharp, flat and natural signs and also dotted note values.
Students will be able to understand and apply degree numbers in melody and recognize slurs and identify different types of slurs used in musical notation.
Student will be learning how to move the melody from one key to another
