In this section we will be going over the meanings behind communications.
Lets Jump in!
Sales tonality communication, also known as vocal tone, plays a crucial role in influencing how your message is received.
The way you deliver your words can convey emotions, build rapport, and impact the overall success of your sales interactions.
We are going to give you some basic important factors of communication.
1. Building Trust and Confidence:
Cultivate a confident and trustworthy tone that reassures customers. A steady and confident tone can convey expertise, instill confidence in your product or service, and creative an inviting relationship.
2. Listening and Responding:
Tailor your tonality based on the cues you are receiving from the customer. Active listening involves using a receptive tone to show understanding and encourage open communication. Responding with a matching tone can help build rapport.
3. Variation for Emphasis:
Vary your tonality to emphasize key points and maintain engagement. Use changes in pitch, volume, and pacing to highlight important information, making it more memorable for your customers.
4. Overcoming Objections:
When addressing objections, maintain a calm and reassuring tone. This helps prevent defensiveness and encourages a collaborative resolution. Avoid speaking in a monotonous tone, as it can lead to disinterest.
5. Positive Energy:
Infuse your voice with enthusiasm and positivity. A lively and upbeat tone can create excitement and engage your customers. Your energy can be contagious and make customers more receptive to your message.
6. Context:
Context refers to the circumstances, environment, and cultural factors surrounding the communication. Understanding context is crucial because it influences how messages are interpreted. Cultural norms, personal experiences, and the relationship between sender and receiver all impact communication.
Communication begins with a sender, who initiates the message, and a receiver, who interprets and processes that message. Both parties play vital roles in the exchange of information.
7. Channels of Communication:
Channels are the mediums through which messages are transmitted. They can be oral (spoken), written (text or email), visual (graphs and/or charts), or nonverbal (body language and facial expressions). Choosing the appropriate channel is essential for effective communication.
Last but not the least is:
8. Feedback:
Feedback is the response or reaction of the receiver to the sender's message. It helps confirm whether the message was understood as intended and provides an opportunity to clarify any misunderstandings.
Wow! Right? As you see, these factors play a fundamental role in our communications skills not only in business but our daily lives. Although seeming basic, are important fundamental build blocks for effective communication.
Thank you for completing section 2 To Understand Communications, Again thank you so much for joining today! My name is Brandi Desautels, and it is Time to move along to section 3 to understand supporting structured sales.
Hello Everyone welcome back!
Brandi Desautels here, This section is where the real juice and substance comes to play. we are so excited for everyone to be here! Those of you who made it this far, Congratulations for making it here because now we can start the real journey into sales. To understand structured sales we must explain exactly what they are.
Structured sales typically refer to a method of selling an asset, often involving complex financial arrangements, to achieve specific goals such as tax optimization, risk management, or cash flow management. Structured sales can be applied to various types of assets, including real estate, businesses, securities, and more. The goal of a structured sale is to tailor the transaction to the unique needs and preferences of the parties involved.
Structured sales can be an effective way to achieve specific financial objectives, but they require careful planning and consideration. Each transaction is unique, and the structure should be tailored to the specific needs and goals of the parties involved.
Before we explain types of structured sales, there is one piece that holds it all together and without preparing and keeping proper records the structure can have missteps and lost information.
Documentation: Proper documentation is crucial in structured sales to outline the terms, conditions, payment schedules, and any contingencies. This helps prevent misunderstandings and disputes down the line.
Keeping documentation as a sales entrepreneur can be made more enjoyable and effective with creative approaches. Documentations is very important, but it does not have to be boring.
Here are some examples of fun ways to document your sales;
Visual Storyboards /Sales Journal with Doodles/ Sales Scrapbook
Sales Vision Board/ Collaborative Art Sessions/ Visual Mind Maps
Sales Podcasts/. Interactive Online Boards
Now we can move on to examples for structured sales and explain them more.
. Tailored Solutions:
Tailor the structure of the sale to the specific goals of the buyer and seller. Whether the objective is tax optimization, risk management, or cash flow, the structure should align with these goals.
. Installment Sales: In an installment sale, the seller receives payments for the asset over an extended period, rather than receiving the full payment upfront. This can help spread out the tax liability over time and potentially result in lower overall taxes, especially if the seller is in a high tax bracket.
Flexibility: Build flexibility into the structure to accommodate changes that might arise over time. Life events, market conditions, and other factors could necessitate adjustments to the original terms.
Structured Products: Financial institutions often create structured products for investors. These products can combine different financial instruments, such as bonds and derivatives, to offer specific risk and return profiles. One example is an equity-linked note, where the return is tied to the performance of a specific stock index.
Seller Financing in Real Estate: A property owner might sell their property to a buyer while offering financing directly to the buyer. The buyer makes regular payments to the seller, effectively becoming the borrower. This can be beneficial for buyers who might have difficulty securing traditional financing and for sellers who want to earn interest on the financed amount.
These are just some examples and there are lots of structured sales to develop into your own type of style, but remember having all the right support makes the difference.
Congratulations on completing section 3, It is time to shows you some key motivators in sections four!

Self-Care: Prioritize your physical and mental well-being. A healthy body and mind are essential for maintaining high levels of motivation and focus.
Practice Resilience: Entrepreneurship comes with its share of setbacks. Developing resilience and a positive mindset can help you bounce back from failures and keep moving forward.
Ultimately, the key to maintaining motivation as an entrepreneur is finding what resonates with you personally. Reflect on what drives you, and regularly revisit these sources of motivation to keep your passion and determination alive throughout your entrepreneurial journey.
Thank you for completing Section 4 and congratulations you can move to section 5!
It is great to see those of you who continues to section 5! Progressing through this section is going to cover the main steps of negotiations and key points of the process.
Negotiation is a fundamental skill used in various aspects of life, from business transactions and contract agreements to personal interactions and resolving conflicts. It involves a process of communication and compromise between parties to reach a mutually satisfactory outcome.
Remember that negotiation is a skill that can be developed and refined over time. It's not just about getting what you want; it's about finding solutions that meet the needs of all parties involved and building positive relationships along the way.
Here's a general outline of the steps involved in a sales negotiation:
1. Preparation:
Understand your product or service: Have a deep knowledge of what you're offering, including its features, benefits, and value proposition.
Research the prospect: Gather information about the potential buyer, their needs, pain points, and preferences.
Set your goals: Define your objectives for the negotiation, such as the desired price, terms, and conditions.
2. Build Rapport and Establish Trust:
Begin the negotiation by building a positive and friendly relationship with the other party.
Establish trust and credibility by showing your expertise and genuine interest in addressing the buyer's needs.
3. Identify Needs and Interests:
Ask open-ended questions to understand the buyer's specific needs, challenges, and goals.
Listen actively to their responses and take note of their priorities and concerns.
4. Present Your Value Proposition:
Clearly and compellingly communicate how your product or service addresses the buyer's needs and provides value.
Highlight the unique features and benefits that set your offering apart from competitors.
5. Exchange Information:
Share relevant information about pricing, terms, and conditions.
Be transparent about what you're offering and what the buyer can expect.
6. Negotiate Terms:
Focus on a collaborative approach rather than a confrontational one.
Present your initial proposal while considering the buyer's input and feedback.
Be prepared to make concessions, but do so strategically and based on the value you're receiving in return.
7. Handle Objections:
Address any objections or concerns raised by the buyer. Listen carefully to understand their perspective and provide tailored responses.
Offer solutions or alternatives that address their objections while maintaining the overall value of the deal.
8. Explore Creative Solutions:
Look for win-win solutions by exploring creative alternatives that meet both parties' needs.
This might involve adjusting terms, bundling additional services, or finding compromises.
9. Reach Agreement:
Once both parties are satisfied with the terms, summarize the agreed-upon points.
Confirm that everyone is on the same page and ready to move forward.
10. Formalize the Agreement:
Document the negotiated terms in a written agreement, contract, or purchase order.
Ensure that all details are accurately captured to avoid misunderstandings later on.
11. Close the Deal:
Obtain the buyer's commitment to move forward with the agreement.
Clarify any remaining questions or concerns before finalizing the deal.
Now we want to meaningfully, express that this is not the last step to negotiations, in fact, following up is the last step.
12. Follow Up:
After the deal is closed, follow up to ensure a smooth implementation of the agreement.
Maintain open lines of communication to address any post-sale issues or concerns.
The failure of entrepreneur businesses can be attributed to a variety of factors, and while not following up with customers or leads can contribute to failure, it's just one aspect among many. There isn't a specific percentage or fixed number that indicates how many businesses fail solely due to a lack of follow-up. Entrepreneurs should recognize the significance of consistent follow-up as part of their overall business strategy. Implementing effective customer relationship management (CRM) systems, staying organized, and prioritizing customer communication can go a long way in ensuring that follow-up is not a contributing factor to business failure.
Each step of negotiations is vital to have a completely competent negotiation. Without each step the deal or sale might not be as beneficial to the other party. Making sure both parties are mutually happy, so that the relationship will involve continuous transactions.
