In this class, you'll learn how to draw and paint this beautiful first snow scene in Moscow, Russia. By the end of this class, you'll feel more confident in being able to simplify complex buildings such as St Basil's Cathedral into simple yet convincing representations. You will gain knowledge and practical experience that will help to loosen up your drawings and paintings. In addition, I'll show you how to add your own personal touch to transform any reference photo into a unique piece of art.

This class is for beginners to intermediate learners and includes separate comprehensive drawing and painting lessons to help you understand and apply the entire process of creating this scene. All of the techniques and processes can be applied to any other reference picture.

• How to plan your illustration and painting through understanding basic compositional elements and placement of objects, color, and figures.

• How to make simple, intuitive measurements to convert a photograph into an ink and watercolor illustration/painting.

• How to draw accurately and loosely with a pen.

• How to use watercolor paint to add light and dark areas to a painting and to set the mood of your painting.
