Description

Discover 3D sculpting with Nomad Sculpt, the beginner-friendly app that turns your iPad, iPad Pro, or tablet into a serious 3D production tool. This course starts from scratch—no experience needed. You’ll learn to build a fun, stylized monster using simple shapes.  The feel is just like drawing in Procreate, but in 3D. Whether you’re a 2D artist looking to bring your characters to the next dimension or completely new to 3D digital sculpting, this course makes the process approachable, intuitive, and fun. Let’s get started and make some cool 3D art!

Here is what you'll learn in class:

  • The Basics: Getting started with Nomad Sculpt

  • Character Blocking: Using primitives and building from shapes

  • Nomad Workflow: Steps to join, merge, and add details to our sculpt

  • The Look: Lighting and coloring our character

  • Final Details: Post process, image export, and creating a turntable to show off your sculpt!

Nomad Sculpt is an amazing application that brings 3D sculpting to you any time, any place. Sculpts created in Nomad can be 3D printed as well as exported for use in other apps like Blender. We'll focus on getting started with Nomad, and learning a smooth workflow using primitives as a base to build our character.

Notes:

I'll be using an iPad Pro M2

Nomad Sculpt is available as a one time purchase (App Store / Google Play)

This tutorial was created on Nomad Sculpt version 2.2 (May 2025)
