    • Define and distinguish Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), and related concepts like audits, inspection, reviews and research.

    • Understand Results-Based Management (RBM) and Results-Based M&E.

    • Discuss Results, Results Chain, Theory of Change, SMART objectives, and results matrices.

    • Develop M&E frameworks , Log-frames, Results Frameworks (RF), Indicators, Baselines, and Targets.

    • Use data tools and reporting templates, PDTs and PIRS.

    • Understand M&E Systems; traditional and results-based M&E systems.

    • Apply DAC criteria for evaluations; to assess relevance, efficiency, effectiveness, coherence, impact and Sustainability.

    • Prepare M&E reports for decision-making and accountability.
