  • This course is intended for 9-12 year olds. No prior money knowledge is required to take this course – it’s perfect for beginners. All you need is curiosity and a willingness to learn about money, saving, spending, and budgeting. A notebook or paper and pencil is helpful for completing fun activities and worksheets, and a device with internet access is needed to watch the course videos. Optional access to a printer is useful for the course printables, but they can also be viewed and completed on-screen.

Description

Money 101 Skills For Kids - Level 1 (Ages 9–12) is an engaging animated course designed to help children understand how money really works in the real world. This course uses relatable examples, and simple activities to make financial ideas like budgeting, compound interest and investing clear and empowering. It also encourages kids to think about the impact of money on their lives and the wider world.


Students will learn how to:


  • Create and manage a budget (including a budgeting spreadsheet and worksheet to help!)

  • Learn the basics of investing

  • Understand compound interest (and why starting early matters!)

  • Develop a healthy money mindset

  • Consider global inequality and the impact they can make with their money


This course is designed specifically for 9–12 year olds who would like to learn the basics of how money works, using simple language, real-life examples, and interactive exercises.

By the end of the course, students will feel more confident talking about and managing money. They’ll also understand how money can grow over time and how smart decisions today can impact their options in the future.
