Here is a list of all the materials I will use in this course. Alternative options will be mentioned in other videos.
Here, you will learn how to create a good clay bed so that you can work on the first side of the mold.
We will work on the first side of the mold (part A). I will show you the specific materials I use and some alternatives and teach you how to create this side step by step to avoid bubbles.
Now, we will create the mother mold. This is the part of the mold that will give structure to the silicone rubber so that it doesn't lose its shape over time.
Here, we will work on the second side (part B). We will repeat the steps we followed on lecture 4 and 5.
Now, I will show you how to create your first copy using polyurethane resin.
As extra content, here's a second option to create your copies. We will use acrylic resin, the one we used in the mother mold, to make another copy.
This course will teach you all you need to know to reproduce a figure that you like or your sculpture.
We will learn how to make a two-part mold that will be light and durable. I will teach you how to avoid bubbles without having a pressure chamber or a vacuum chamber.
The mold will consist of two silicone rubber parts (A and B) and two mother molds (A and B). The mother mold helps the silicone rubber keep its shape and allows us to use less silicone than normal, making this type of mold a cheaper option than the silicone rubber block molds we find on Youtube.
I will go about all the materials needed in detail and I will give you different options that you might be able to find in your country.
Once we've created the mold, I will teach you how to make a polyurethane resin copy. This type of resin copies details really well and the result is wonderful.
The course is divided into three parts:
Introduction and materials
Mold making section
Copy making section
You will get all the tips to create a high-quality reproduction of your figure or sculpture.
Hope you'll enjoy the process!
