Requirements

  • Previous yoga teaching experience preferred. If you want to take all 5 modules and receive the Yoga Corrective Exercise Specialist Certification, you must be RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance or a Certified Yoga Therapist with IAYT

Description

In this course you will learn how to integrate the components of the BioPsychoSocial Model and utilize the tools and philosophy of yoga to help your clients/students improve their ease of movement on and off the yoga mat. By understanding the mechanisms pain perception you will be able to help your clients change their experience of pain so they are able to move through yoga asanas to promote health and healing.  You will learn how to utilize kinesiology taping with your clients to help them with improved body awareness, inflammation and pain Add to your toolbox as a yoga teacher or yoga therapist. Improve your ability to help your students move more easefully.

This Module can be taken as a stand alone course or as a part of the 5 modules in the Yoga Corrective Exercise Specialist Program with FitYogaTherapy.   The FYT Method is a comprehensive approach to improve ease of movement through structural alignment, sequential corrective yoga exercise and effective client communication. Become well-equipped to help your clients achieve improved function and pain-free living.


If you wish to receive designation as a certified Yoga Corrective Exercise Specialist, complete the homework assignments for all five modules.


You will earn 6.0 Yoga Alliance CEUS and 4 IAYT CEU's for completing the course.    You will earn 30 Yoga Alliance CEU's and 25 IAYT CEU's for the full certification.
