This is a common question that people ask. Dim Mak originated from China where as Kyusho Jutsu originated from Japan. Follow the link that I provided to Grand Master Art Mason's website to learn more about the difference between the two of them.
To key to learning and using pressure points is to know where they are located on the body. In this section I will go thru various points on the arm, head, torso and legs.
Remember they are 361 pressure points on the body and for self-defense purposes we only need to know about a couple of dozen or so points and be able to use them well.
As we progress thru the various modules in this black belt course, you will soon realize the effective points and they will become muscle memory.
In order for your strikes to be effective when you strike into a pressure point, you need to understand how to activate the points. There are certain ways to activate the point and if you don't understand those ways then you won't get the results you are looking for.
I will explain it very simply and you'll understand very easily.
This is one of the ways to activate a pressure point and probably the most important.
The Triple Warmer meridian starts from the ring finger and ends at the end of the eye. It contains 23 points and energy flows into the body from this meridian. It is on the outside of the body and therefore is a yang meridian.
The Lung meridian starts from the shoulder and ends at the end of the thumb. It contains 11 points and energy flows out of the body from this meridian. It is on the inside of the body and therefore is a yin meridian.
The Large Intestine meridian starts from the index finger and ends just to the outside of the nose. It contains 20 points and energy flows into the body from this meridian. It is on the outside of the body and therefore is a yang meridian.
The Pericardium meridian starts from the outside of the nipple and ends at the middle finger. It contains 9 points and energy flows into the body from this meridian. It is on the inside of the body and therefore is a yin meridian.
The Heart meridian starts from the under the armpit on the body torso and ends at the pinky finger. It contains 9 points and energy flows out of the body from this meridian. It is on the inside of the body and therefore is a yin meridian.
The Small Intestine meridian starts from the pinky finger and ends just to the outside of the ear. It contains 19 points and energy flows into the body from this meridian. It is on the inside of the body and therefore is a yin meridian.
Be careful when you are training the head points with your Uke. Some of these points can be very painful and dangerous especially near to the eyes. You can test, once or twice but don't keep repeating to hit. For practice, brush off the point without striking into it. And don't forget to slap revival your Uke to help in recovery.

There are many points on the torso, most are at the sides under the arm and down the center of the ribs. All of these points are extremely sensitive points. Leg points are really fun to work with and probably the most easiest to get a reaction from your Uke. Again, throw a little bit of caution not to over do it, as pressing some of these points will weaken the knee and cause the knees to buckle. As a result, your Uke could drop to the ground and injure himself.

This is the End of the Body Points section, please repeat the videos a many times as needed in order for you to grasp the concepts taught in the videos. Once you are ready, please move on to the Weapons and Drills.
When we look at the pressure point locations in the Study Guide Chart book, everything is 2 dimensional. If you are looking to make your life a bit easier, I would suggest ordering your own acupuncture model, they are really not that expensive. You can find them online, in EBay or other websites and in various sizes. If you’re Gung Ho, like me, you can get a mannequin and draw the meridian lines yourself and put the points as you learn them during the course of the program. How you would like to do it is by your choice.
This is a really good tutorial and I suggest you practice it daily for a couple of weeks or up to the point where you can close your eyes and run thru all of the meridians in your mind. Once you can do that, then you won't need to practice this drill any more.
In the world of Kyusho Jutsu, precision is power—and responsibility.
This module continues the student's progress in Kyusho Jutsu. In Module 1 you learned essential revival methods required when working with pressure point techniques. Before activation, comes restoration. Before skill, comes safety. Now we move forward to pressure point locations and activation techniques.
You'll gain hands-on understanding of:
Vital pressure points and their mechanical functions
Understand how body structure, rotation, and leverage influence activation.
The neuromuscular principles behind pressure point reactions
Learn the logic behind the chaos—why certain points work, and how to use them with confidence.
Why This Module Matters
Before you begin using pressure points effectively, you must first understand where they are located on the body and how to activate them. In this module, we’ll explore both essential foundations.
From there, we’ll apply your knowledge in practical self-defense scenarios—including responses to pushes, punches, and grabs. Through multiple drills, you’ll experience how integrating pressure points into your strikes dramatically amplifies their impact.
As part of this training module, you’ll also receive:
The Kyusho Pressure Point Academy Book
Top 10 Pressure Points Guide
To complement your development, a video called Tracing Meridians is included. Practice this simple 5-minute daily exercise for a couple of weeks, and you’ll begin to visualize pressure points more vividly—almost as if they’re appearing on people’s bodies around you.
That inner vision strengthens your connection to the meridians and builds energy into your strikes naturally over time.
Whether you're a seasoned martial artist or a passionate newcomer, you'll walk away with:
Real-world confidence
Improved technical finesse
A deeper understanding of body mechanics and neurovascular dynamics
Your uke’s eternal gratitude
Join Module 2 now and embody the responsibility that true martial wisdom demands.
