MATLAB Basics Module Project
The purpose of this document is to provide a comprehensive overview of the requirements for the development of the Simple Robotics Simulation application. This software aims to simulate the motion of a simple robot with two links, allowing users to visualize and understand basic robotics concepts.
he Model-Based Development Diploma covers a comprehensive range of essential topics to provide participants with a well-rounded understanding of model-centric approaches in system design. Throughout the program, participants will delve into fundamental MBD concepts, gaining insights into how models serve as the backbone of system development.
The course begins with an introduction to MATLAB basics, where participants learn essential data analysis, visualization, and algorithm development skills. Building upon this foundation, the curriculum covers Simulink basics, enabling participants to create dynamic system simulations and design control systems efficiently.
Participants will also explore the Arduino Support Package, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to interface MATLAB and Simulink with Arduino hardware, facilitating the development of embedded systems.
A significant focus of the diploma is on PID controller design, where participants learn to design and tune Proportional-Integral-Derivative controllers for various applications, gaining practical skills in control system design.
The program also includes instruction on MATLAB scripting, empowering participants to automate tasks, create custom functions, and enhance workflow efficiency.
System modeling is another key component of the curriculum, where participants learn techniques for representing system requirements, architectures, and behaviors effectively using models.
Additionally, the course covers model architecture and Stateflow design, providing participants with advanced skills in structuring complex models and modeling discrete event systems.
Embedded Coder instruction enables participants to generate production-quality code directly from Simulink models, facilitating seamless integration between model-based design and implementation.
Throughout the program, participants engage in hands-on exercises, projects, and case studies to reinforce learning and gain practical experience in applying MBD concepts and tools to real-world scenarios. By the program's conclusion, participants will have developed a comprehensive skill set in model-based development, positioning them as proficient practitioners in the field.
