First, if you haven't done so already, you'll learn how to sort through the endless see of camera options and choose the one you need to walk away with the best images.
Next you'll learn how to capture your first photograph using manual settings on your camera.
From there we'll talk a little about how to choose the right lens, given your photographic interests.
At that point we'll dive in and really master exposure using manual settings so that your photographs are neither too dark nor too light, unless you want them to be.
Then we'll really start to have fun by exploring the creative aspects of shutter speed, aperture, and ISO.
From there we'll dive into how to arrange objects in your photo so that you keep the viewer engaged and don't create visually awkward photographs.
Finally, we'll play around with the different colors and qualities of light and discuss how to control those so that you can leverage light to intentionally alter the emotional impact of your shots.

THINGS TO DO BEFORE MOVING ON TO THE NEXT LESSON . . .
Brandon Kowallis has been teaching photography and producing his own photographic work for over 10 years to hundreds of students at the community college level. After completing a bachelors in photography and a masters in filmmaking, Brandon realized that there was a lot of stuff that photographers and filmmakers didn't actually need to know to create stunning photographs. So with a passion for minimalism, Brandon has re-engineered the photographic education experience to focus on the critical and key concepts that a photographer needs to know to walk away with great pictures.
