I have added blueprints link just to make it easy for you :). Just to let you know the first 3 lectures have some seconds audio delay but it will go away once you proceed to the 4th lecture. Thanks for cooperating.
· You can get blueprints of the Model from the website
· Saving each side matching with respect to side/top/front plane
· Opening them and adjusting it according to the projections required
· Making sure each plane is in rightly aligned with its opposing plane
Creating fuselage first is the easiest way to simplify a design
Be careful when it comes to designing the nose section make sure you delete coincident relation before using pierce relation.
This is one of the basic way to design a glass cockpit. Please note just to make it easy for you I did it this way. Otherwise, there is a complete different way of doing it.Which will be shown on my next Solidworks Course.
This lecture is based on the inner section of the wing design.Designing the nose after completion of fuselage will give you a good understanding of the model.
We're working on the mid section of the wing frame.I did all these lectures very slow just to make sure you understand it better :)
Worked on Outer section of the design. Take your time on understanding how it works and don't rush to it.
Using loft feature we make sure that we join all 3 sections together to complete the wing design.
A wing is incomplete without its tip being designed.
Its a bit frustrating adjusting the dimensions of the engine to your blueprints so bare with me and don't lose hope!
In this video, you I'm adjusting the engine cowling and matching it according to the top sketch and side sketch
Here, I'm referring to the website just to get an idea of its engine placement.
Beginning of the video i was adjusting the engine cowl and then proceeded to making jet intake using project curve.
Intake needs adjustment and it takes time to give it a perfect look.
Minor adjustments to the intake to make sure every thing is perfect.
This lecture will complete the following intake and engine cowling design making it look exactly the way it should.
Having an eye to detail is very important when it comes to designing surfaces make sure you do it carefully.
Pay attention in the video when using loft feature along with adding guide lines.
In this video,I adjusted all the surfaces so that the final product that we achieve looks perfect!
Using Fillet feature to shape the extenders.
One of the basic way to design your nozzle.
In this video, we are giving the nozzle an illusion of after burner effect.

When I first started my journey to understand 3D modeling on Solidworks. It took me a while to really get to know the basics that goes into 3D modelling of military aircrafts. Because there isn’t much tutorials on it. Therefore, I will take this opportunity to give you a well detailed course.
Getting to know the idea of how a basic 3D modeling is done. We will be working on Mikoyan Mig-29 which is a Russian twin engine jet fighter. I will take you from scratch to creating an amazing model. This 3D modeling journey will be very interesting for you. Seeing a fighter jet evolve just from a blueprint to a complete design really gets very interesting.
This course is not just for those who are into aerospace field but also for anyone interested in knowing the design process of a fighter jet model. The course will also have an impact on your future career as majority of the engineering firms require 3D modeling skills to be a part of your package.
This course will teach you how to get good at it. This course is not a shortcut to become the best 3D modeler. We are following a learn-by-doing approach for you to truly master all the skills needed to become a 3D modeler. You will get confidence and use Solidworks to design/draft your next innovation. The course is delivered on Solidworks 2017.
