Welcome to the training!
First, get an overview of the topics covered in this training. After this introductory video, you can download a detailed table of content.
With SharePoint, you can create and manage internal corporate websites (i.e. intranets). Learn more about the basics of SharePoint in this video.
Learn how to get started with SharePoint the right way. All you need is a browser, an active Internet connection and your Microsoft 365 user account.
Discover the SharePoint "Web Parts" and navigation elements that allow you to flexibly build, design and manage SharePoint sites.
First learn how Team Sites and Communication Sites differ before you get to know the individual building blocks of the sites in more detail later in the training.
Learn basic information about the Document Library, probably the best-known Web Part in the SharePoint environment. First of all, you’ll learn about navigation and elementary functions and options. You will also learn how to use predefined views and how to create personal views.
Learn how to edit files together with others at the same time. Also learn about advanced features, such as the so-called "check-out" in combination with version management.
The "News" web part allows you to share news relevant to teamwork. Learn how to add this web part to a Team Site and learn what options and settings are available to you.
With the "List" Web Part, you can, for example, capture people, things or ideas on a specific topic and manage them in a list.
Conversations in SharePoint are, technically speaking, emails - with the small peculiarity that the replies to these emails are assigned to a group and are not wildly scattered as in a regular inbox.
Microsoft provides a central OneNote notebook for each SharePoint group. Learn how notebooks are structured and which functions are available to you.
Learn about further Web Parts. You will get to know different views of the documents and you will learn how you can integrate e.g., videos and Twitter feeds into your SharePoint environment.
Communication Sites allow you to publish announcements and messages. Learn about the numerous Web Parts you can use to build these pages in a useful way.
When you "sync" files stored in the cloud, you can open them across devices, manage them through your File Explorer and access them offline.
Learn to create Office files directly in the SharePoint environment and then edit them via your browser or even desktop app. You will also learn how to save files to SharePoint even if you first created them locally using the desktop app.
SharePoint and Microsoft Teams work closely together because Teams uses SharePoint as its storage. Learn about the benefits of this and use it to your advantage.
Here you will get to know the SharePoint mobile app including the similarities and differences compared to the browser version.
Once you have been assigned the appropriate rights, you can make "behind-the-scenes" setting changes to SharePoint and thus significantly determine the possibilities for creating and managing SharePoint Sites.
With some general remarks and tips, we would like to bid you farewell from the SharePoint training and hope that you will be able to apply the newly acquired knowledge in your everyday work in a variety of ways.
