Welcome back. In this video, we’re going to learn how to access the web‑based Copilot and explore its interface.
Let’s get started. First, open Microsoft Edge. In the search bar, type Copilot and press Enter. You’ll see the search results, and the first link will usually be Microsoft Copilot.
Instead of searching, you can also go directly to the official website by typing copilot.microsoft.com in the address bar. This will take you straight to the Copilot homepage.
On the landing screen, you’ll see three sign‑in options, Microsoft, Apple or Google account.
Choose whichever account you use. I’ll sign in with my Microsoft account. Once you’re logged in, you’ll arrive at the Copilot home interface.
At the center of the screen, you’ll see the main chat area, where you type your prompts and interact with Copilot. Below the chat box, there’s a plus icon. This allows you to upload images or files, generate images, and access additional tools.
Right under that, you’ll see an option called Use Connectors. Connectors allow you to link different apps and services so Copilot can work directly with your data.
Next, you’ll notice a button labeled Smart. When you click it, Copilot gives you different thinking modes — such as Smart, Think Deeper, and other reasoning styles. These modes help Copilot adjust how it analyzes and responds to your prompts.
On the right side of the prompt box, you’ll see the Talk option. Instead of typing, you can speak your prompt and Copilot will transcribe and respond to your voice input.
Now let’s look at the left‑hand menu. At the top, you’ll see the Copilot logo — clicking this always brings you back to the home screen. Below that, there’s a sidebar icon that expands the full menu. Here you’ll find options like New Chat, Library, Discover, and more.
At the bottom of the sidebar, you’ll see your chat history, where all your previous conversations and prompts are saved for quick access.
And that’s the complete overview of the Copilot interface. In the next video, we’ll continue exploring how to use Copilot effectively.”
Welcome back. In this lesson, we’re going to try our very first prompts inside Copilot. This will help you understand how Copilot responds, how it thinks, and how you can guide it to get better results. I’ll walk you through five simple but powerful prompts that anyone can use.
I have already prompt which I paste here.
“Explain Artificial Intelligence in one sentence.”
This first prompt is a simple explanation request. It helps you see how Copilot summarizes complex ideas in a clear and concise way. Prompts like this are great when you want quick understanding without too much detail.
Once you click submit message button its start processing and replying that prompt.
As you can see its response very clear and one sentence which can easily understand, awesome.
Now will ask another prompt,
“Explain Artificial Intelligence like I’m 10 years old.”
“This prompt shows how Copilot adapts its tone and difficulty level. By adding ‘like I’m 10 years old,’ you’re telling Copilot to simplify the language. This is useful when you want easy explanations or when you’re learning something new.”
Now you can compare both prompt responses and see the differences that is amazing.
Now this time will ask Copilot, actually I have one small motivational storey which I paste here and asking copilot.

“Here, we’re asking Copilot to summarize information. Copilot is excellent at reducing long text into short, clear bullet points. This is helpful for emails, reports, articles, or any content you want to understand quickly.”

“This prompt demonstrates Copilot’s writing abilities. It can draft emails, messages, and documents in seconds. You can always refine the tone by adding instructions like ‘make it friendly,’ ‘make it formal,’ or ‘keep it short, this time its open my email interface inside the copilot chat window, and if you see here its says “Allow Copilot to send email via Outlook? Enable Outlook”, if I enable and send button then it will directly send from my email account, that is awesome.

“This final prompt shows Copilot’s creative side. It can generate ideas, suggestions, and solutions for almost any topic. Creative prompts are great for brainstorming, planning, and problem‑solving.”

This skill is useful for studying, working, building websites, analyzing data, and much more. You can explore simple examples like Explain this topic simply or Rewrite this professionally to see how it works.
Prompt engineering matters because it saves time, improves accuracy, and helps you create professional‑quality results. Whether you’re writing emails, generating ideas, summarizing documents, or building a website, a well‑written prompt makes Copilot far more powerful.
It becomes a real assistant that understands your goals and delivers exactly what you need. This is why learning how to prompt properly is one of the most valuable digital skills today.
To make prompting easy, you can follow a simple four‑part formula. First, define the role, such as ‘Act as a web designer.’ Second, describe the task, like ‘Create a landing page.’ Third, add details about style, tone, or requirements, such as ‘Use a dark theme with gold accents.’
And finally, specify the output format, for example, ‘Provide HTML and CSS.’ This structure helps Copilot understand your expectations clearly and produce the exact result you want. You can try prompts like Act as a designer and create or Act as a data analyst and explain to practice this approach.
“Hello and welcome to this tutorial. In this video, we’re going to learn how to work with CSV files inside Copilot — how to upload a CSV file, ask questions about your data, generate summaries and insights, and even get chart suggestions. So let’s get started.
This is our Copilot landing page. Hear, you can see the plus button. When you click it, the first option is Add images or files. I’ll click on that and upload the CSV file I already have.
Now I’ll give a simple prompt: ‘Describe this dataset’ and press Enter. Copilot starts thinking and immediately gives a response — which is amazing. It says: ‘This is a large, multi‑country retail sales export dataset from 2019–2020.’
Below that, you can see sections like ‘What this dataset is’, ‘Dataset structure’, ‘Columns explained’, and ‘Geographic coverage.’ Whatever information is inside the CSV file, Copilot reads it instantly and explains it clearly. Scrolling down, it even provides deeper insights.
If I open my CSV file and compare, I can see that Copilot is giving the correct details.
Now hear’s the amazing part. In my CSV file, I intentionally deleted some values to test Copilot — and it successfully detected the missing data. It even identified which column has missing values. That’s impressive.
It also detected that the date formats are incorrect. If I filter the date column in my CSV, you can see the format is indeed wrong. Copilot also noticed that the customer name column contains names with commas.
At the end of the response, Copilot even suggests what it can do next — such as data cleaning steps, dashboard planning, and more.
Now I’ll give another prompt: ‘Suggest charts for this data.’ Copilot responds with chart recommendations and explains which visuals would work best for this dataset.
Next, I’ll try: ‘Write a short report based on this data.’ The response is very impressive — Copilot generates a clear, structured report based on the dataset.
Now I’ll ask a few more specific questions:
‘Which product sold the most’
‘What is the average rating’
‘Which region performed best’
Look at the response — it’s amazing. Copilot says Portugal is the top‑performing region. To confirm, I opened my CSV file, created a pivot table, and checked — and yes, Portugal is indeed the top‑performing region.
Below that, Copilot also provides a summary and additional suggestions, which is extremely helpful.

In this lesson, we’re going to explore how a student can use Copilot to upload a PDF file and instantly generate a summary, organized study notes, and important exam‑style questions from a specific chapter. This is one of the most powerful features for students because it turns any textbook or course material into clear, easy‑to‑study content within seconds. So let’s get started.
Here I have a PDF file with a history topic titled The Empresses of Rome. As you can see, the document contains eleven pages, and it covers different sections of the story. Before doing anything else, I’ll open Copilot, click the plus button, and upload the PDF. This is the first step students need to follow whenever they want Copilot to read a document.
Once the PDF is uploaded, I prepare a clear and detailed prompt. The prompt I wrote says: ‘I have uploaded the PDF titled The Empresses of Rome. Please read and provide the following: a clear and simple summary, well‑organized study notes for students, and a list of important questions that a teacher might ask in class or that may appear in an exam.’ This type of prompt tells Copilot exactly what to do, what format to follow, and what type of output the student needs.
After pressing Enter, Copilot begins analyzing the PDF. Within a few seconds, it responds with a message saying: ‘Here you go, a clean, clear, student‑friendly output based entirely on Chapter I: The Making of an Empress from The Empresses of Rome. All summaries, notes, and questions are grounded in the uploaded text, with brief citations from the document as required.’ This means Copilot has correctly identified the chapter and is now generating structured content based on it.
The first thing Copilot provides is a detailed summary of the chapter. The summary is written in simple language, making it easy for students to understand the main ideas without feeling overwhelmed. Right after the summary, Copilot presents well‑organized study notes. These notes break down the chapter into smaller sections, highlight key events, and explain important concepts in a clear and logical way.
As I scroll further, I can see a list of key characters mentioned in the chapter. This is extremely helpful for subjects like history or literature, where understanding the people involved is essential. Below that, Copilot generates important exam‑style questions. These include short‑answer questions, long‑answer questions, and even critical‑thinking questions that teachers often ask in class or include in tests. This makes revision much easier for students because they know exactly what to focus on.
The entire output is clean, structured, and easy to follow. Students can use it to study, revise, or prepare for exams without spending hours reading the entire chapter. Copilot does the heavy lifting, and the student gets high‑quality notes instantly.

“Hello and welcome back. In today’s video, we’re going to learn how Copilot can read and understand text from images and respond with accurate, clean results. This is one of the most useful features for students, professionals, and anyone who works with handwritten notes or data tables. So let’s get started.
As you can see, I have a PDF file that contains handwritten text. Instead of typing everything manually, I’m going to take a screenshot directly from the PDF and paste it into Copilot. Once the image is uploaded, I give Copilot a clear and detailed prompt. The prompt says: ‘I have uploaded an image containing handwritten notes. Please extract all the text clearly and accurately. Fix any unclear handwriting, correct spelling, and format the text neatly in paragraphs. Do not add extra information — only rewrite what is written in the image in clean, readable text.’ After pressing Enter, Copilot begins processing the image, and the response is amazing. If we check the output word by word, it is extremely accurate and very impressive.
Now I have another image that contains data arranged in rows and columns. I will copy this image and paste it into Copilot as well. For this one, I use a different prompt because the structure matters. The prompt says: ‘I have uploaded an image containing a table with rows and columns. Please extract all text exactly as it appears, keeping the same row and column structure. Recreate the table in clean text format with proper column names and aligned rows.’ After pressing Enter, Copilot reads the table and recreates it exactly as shown in the image. The rows and columns are perfectly aligned, and the text is clean and readable.
The interesting part is that Copilot gives two options: one to copy the data and another to download it. This means that instead of copying the table manually and pasting it into Excel, we can directly download the CSV file. Let’s try that. I’ll download the CSV, open it, and check the content. When the file opens, it may show a popup asking whether to convert the data. Just click ‘Don’t convert.’ After expanding the columns and comparing the values with the original image, you can see that the accuracy is incredibly high. Copilot has captured everything correctly. It’s truly impressive to see how easily it handles structured data.
Look at the result Copilot has given and think about how much time this saves. Tasks that used to take several minutes or even hours can now be done in seconds. It really makes our work easier and more efficient.

First, I want to create a seven‑day diet plan with meal images. For this, I open Copilot and give the following prompt: ‘Create one single AI image that visually represents a full seven‑day weight‑loss diet plan. Show all seven days together in one layout, with each day’s meals illustrated in a clean, modern, easy‑to‑read design. Do not include long text — use simple labels only, such as Day 1, Day 2, etc.’ After typing the prompt, I press Enter and wait while the image is being generated.
Once the image is ready, look at the result — it’s really impressive. The sharpness, the quality, and the level of detail are amazing. Each day’s diet plan is clearly illustrated with matching meal images. It’s an incredible result.
Now for the second prompt, I want an image of a family celebrating Eid. I type this short prompt: ‘Create a warm, joyful AI image of a family celebrating Eid together, with traditional clothing, soft lighting, and emotional expressions. No text in the image.’ After waiting for the generation to complete, you can see the final image. It shows a family celebrating the Eid festival together, and again, the result is high‑resolution, detailed, and visually beautiful.
Next, I want to create logo ideas for a real estate company using Copilot. I write this prompt: ‘Create 10 different AI‑generated illustration‑style logo images for a real estate business. Do NOT give text descriptions — produce images only. Each logo should be visually unique, using elements like houses, rooftops, buildings, keys, doors, skylines, or abstract home shapes. No text, no numbers, no icons from the internet — AI‑generated artwork only.’ After waiting for the process to complete, you can see the ten real‑estate logo concepts. If I download and open the file, the results are very impressive and professionally illustrated.

Upload any food image to Copilot, use a simple prompt to identify the dish and generate a complete recipe with ingredients and step-by-step instructions.
“Hello and welcome to this lesson. In this video, we’re going to learn how to give Copilot a detailed prompt for creating a professional‑looking perfume store website. Before we begin, I want to show you a few basic details that will help you understand how the website is built.
Inside my folder, I have several perfume images. As you can see, I’ve named the main image ‘Hero.jpg,’ which I will use on the front landing page. The other images are named ‘Image 1,’ ‘Image 2,’ ‘Image 3,’ and so on. You’ll also notice that these images are not the same size, and that’s something we can easily ask Copilot to fix by resizing them to a standard size.
Now let’s look at the prompt I prepared. I start with the instruction ‘Act as a web designer,’ and then I provide detailed requirements. Below that, I specify the exact image filenames using relative paths, including the hero image and all the product images in sequence. I also include random prices for each product, and I clearly mention the standard image size that Copilot should apply.
Further down, I list the sections I want on the page, such as the hero banner, product grid, about section, and testimonials. I also describe the design requirements, like using a luxury theme with black, white, and gold accents. At the end of the prompt, I mention the folder path where my images are stored. When you give Copilot this level of detail, it produces a perfect result.
Now I can copy this entire prompt, paste it into Copilot, and press Enter. Copilot immediately starts generating the code. Once it’s done, I simply copy the code, open a text editor, paste it in, and save the file in the same folder as ‘index.html.’
When I open the file, the result is incredible. Copilot created a complete website in less than five minutes. The hero section looks great, the product grid is clean, and all the images are perfectly resized.
As I scroll down, you can see every section we included in the prompt, along with the pricing. It’s amazing how accurately Copilot follows the instructions.

I have the CV biodata ready, along with an Aey I image that I generated earlier for the CV. I’ve already opened Microsoft Word and pasted both the biodata and the image into the document. This is just to check whether Word Copilot can correctly insert and position the photo. You can see the Copilot button floating here, so I’ll click on it, and a separate window appears.
I’ve already selected ‘Allow editing,’ which means Copilot now has permission to edit this document. I’ll paste my prompt here: ‘Create a modern, professionally designed CV using a clean layout. Place the profile photo at the top right corner. Use clear section headings, subtle design elements, and a visually balanced structure. Use the following details and expand them into a strong, polished CV with a detailed professional summary, key skills, experience, and education.’ Then I press the button to generate.

So now we’ll move on to creating the CV in PowerPoint. I have a separate PowerPoint prompt, which is longer because the slide is blank and I need to provide all the biodata inside the prompt. I need two slides because the CV content takes space, and just like Word, the CV also becomes two pages.
The process is similar here. The Copilot button is floating, so I click it, and the separate window opens. I’ve already allowed editing, so I paste my prompt. Copilot starts thinking and asks a few random questions, which I select and confirm. It begins generating Aey I images that it will place inside the CV layout. And finally, we get the result — the first slide looks very impressive, and the second slide is also beautifully done. It even includes a space where I can place the CV photo.
Overall, there is a clear difference between the CV created in Word and the one created in PowerPoint. You can compare both and see the results for yourself.

Slide 3: Show the charts clearly.’ After typing the prompt, I press the Send button.
PowerPoint Copilot begins thinking and analyzing the content. It first asks, ‘Where should the sales figures and chart data come from?’ I select the option ‘Research it.’ Then it asks, ‘What’s the regional scope for region‑wise sales?’ I choose ‘Global/Multi‑country’ and confirm. Copilot continues analyzing the screenshots, so I’ll fast‑forward this part.
And now look at the result — it’s amazing. Copilot has created a clean, professional‑looking presentation. Slide one looks excellent with all the sections summarized clearly. Slide two presents the key insights beautifully. And slide three displays the charts in a very organized and impressive way. What’s even more surprising is that these slides are not just images — everything is fully editable. That means you can adjust text, change colors, or modify layouts just like a normal PowerPoint file.
If you compare the original PDF with the slides Copilot generated, the accuracy is incredible. It captured the structure, the meaning, and the layout perfectly. And the most interesting part is the speed. PowerPoint Copilot completed this entire presentation in about ten minutes. A human designer would easily take hours to recreate the same thing manually.

Now I’ll prepare a simple prompt that says: ‘Create a PowerPoint presentation using the data from this Excel file.’ Below that, I paste the link I just copied, and then I add one more instruction: ‘Include charts, summaries, and key insights.’ With this prompt ready, I’ll open PowerPoint, click the Copilot icon, make sure ‘Allow editing’ is selected, and paste the prompt into the Copilot window. You’ll notice that the link automatically converts into the actual file name of my dataset, which means Copilot can access the file directly from OneDrive.
Now I’ll click the Send button and sit back while Copilot does the work. It begins analyzing the dataset and starts generating the slides. This process takes a couple of minutes, so I’ll fast‑forward. During the process, Copilot may ask a few questions or offer suggestions, and I can simply confirm them. It also shows a running explanation of what it’s doing in the background, which is helpful to understand how it interprets the data.
And here we go — Copilot has finished creating the slides. Look at this. It has done an incredibly impressive job. It generated seven slides, each one focused on a specific part of the dataset. There are key insights, multiple charts, customer review summaries, and even recommendations. What’s truly amazing is that all of this was created from just a two‑line prompt. Copilot understood the structure of the data and transformed it into a polished, professional presentation within minutes.
If you think about the manual process, a human would need to create pivot tables, build charts one by one, copy them into PowerPoint, adjust formatting, and write summaries. That alone could take hours. But Copilot completes the entire workflow automatically, and the best part is that these slides are not images — they are fully editable. You can change colors, adjust charts, rewrite text, or customize layouts exactly the way you want.

I have a CSV file here that contains raw sales data. You can see columns for country, order, cost, date, and several others. I also intentionally left some missing values in the Order and Cost columns to test whether Copilot can detect and fix them.
Now I’ll click the floating Copilot icon. When I open it, a dedicated Copilot window appears on the right side. I’ve already selected ‘Allow editing,’ which means Copilot has permission to make changes to this spreadsheet. I’ll type a simple prompt: ‘Clean and transform this data,’ and then press the Send button.
Copilot begins processing immediately and explains what it’s doing in the background. As you can see, it has already detected missing values in the Order column and identified other issues. The main problem it found is that the date format is inconsistent. Now it’s asking for my preferences with options like A, B, and so on. I’ll type ‘1a’ just to see how Copilot interprets it. After pressing Send, it starts processing again and says, ‘I will clean and transform the data with the following approach,’ followed by a detailed explanation of the corrections it plans to make. That already sounds interesting.
And look at this — Copilot has created a new sheet and formatted the raw data into a clean, organized layout. It even highlighted the missing cells clearly so they stand out. Now it’s working on the date column and says, ‘I notice the date standardization isn’t working consistently for all dates. Let me fix that with a more robust formula.’ So let’s see how it handles the date format.
It corrected many of the dates, but a few still show errors. Copilot then says, ‘I see some dates are stored as text,’ which means it correctly identified the underlying issue. That’s genuinely impressive. After another pass, it confirms that all dates are now standardized. Excellent.
Now the task is complete, and Copilot displays a summary of everything it fixed. If I scroll down, I can see the full explanation. On the right side, there’s a detailed data‑cleaning summary, which looks great. When I click any cell in the cleaned sheet, I can see the long formulas Copilot applied. These are formulas even an advanced Excel expert would need time to write manually, yet Copilot generated them instantly.

To begin, I’ll click the Copilot floating icon on the right side of the Excel window. As soon as I click it, a separate Copilot panel opens. This is where we will give our prompts. For the first step, I’ll type a very simple one‑line prompt: ‘Show me insights the data.’ After pressing Enter, I just sit back and watch Copilot begin its analysis.
It takes a few moments to process the dataset, and then you can see it start working automatically. Copilot begins generating insights, identifying trends, and building a dashboard layout. It also displays a running explanation of what it’s doing, which is extremely helpful. Once it completes the task, I scroll through the results to verify accuracy. The dataset contains one thousand rows, and Copilot correctly identifies that. The totals for revenue and sales match perfectly as well. This gives me confidence that the insights it generated are based on accurate calculations.
Now that the first part is done, I’ll continue by giving Copilot a second prompt to expand the dashboard even further. This time, I type: ‘Insert charts based on the dataset and add a Key Insights section at the bottom summarizing the main findings.’ After pressing Enter, Copilot immediately begins summarizing the data. It identifies patterns, highlights important metrics, and starts generating the Key Insights section.
As I scroll down, I can see Copilot writing a detailed summary of the dataset. When I scroll to the right, I notice that it has already created multiple charts. These visuals look clean, professional, and very impressive. They include trends, comparisons, and breakdowns that would normally take a human several minutes or even hours to prepare. Below the charts, the Key Insights section is fully completed, summarizing the most important findings from the data.
It’s truly remarkable how quickly Copilot can analyze a large dataset and produce a complete dashboard. If you compare this to manual work, no human can match this speed. Copilot completes everything within a minute, and the results are accurate, organized, and visually appealing.

“Hello and welcome to this video. Today we’re going to learn how to use Copilot to generate complex VBA code inside Microsoft Excel. The best part is that you don’t need to be an expert in VBA at all. With just a simple prompt, Copilot can write the entire code for you. So let’s get started.
As you can see, I’m working on the same sheet we created in the previous video. I’ve made a few page setup adjustments, and now the report spans three pages. In a real office environment, if management needs this report every day, repeating the same steps manually becomes time‑consuming. That’s why automating the process and saving the report as a PDF file is extremely useful. To do that, we need VBA code.
I’ll begin by clicking the Copilot icon inside Excel, and this time I’ll switch to the Chat‑only mode. Here, I’ll type a simple prompt: ‘I have an Excel worksheet named DataSet1.xlsx, and there is one sheet named Insights Dashboard. Can you please generate VBA code to save it to my desktop path C:\Users\Lenovo\Desktop\Daily Report as a PDF file and rename it to Daily Sales Report, and if the same file already exists, overwrite it?’ After typing the prompt, I click the button to generate.
Copilot immediately starts writing the VBA code. It also provides helpful notes and tips below the code. Once the code is fully generated, I click the copy icon to copy everything. Now, if you’re not familiar with how to create a macro or where to paste VBA code, here’s how it works. First, click the Developer tab, then click the Visual Basic icon. The Visual Basic Application window will appear. Make sure the current workbook and the correct sheet are selected. Then click the Insert menu and choose Module. A blank page appears, and this is where I paste the VBA code Copilot generated.
After pasting the code, I close the window. Back in Excel, I click the Developer tab again and select the Macros button. The macro name appears in the list, and I click Run. Excel begins automating the entire process. A message pops up saying, ‘PDF exported successfully to Desktop.’ I click OK and check the folder. The file is there, saved exactly as requested. To be sure, I open it, and yes — it’s the same report converted to PDF exactly as described in the prompt.
Next, I want to make this even easier by creating a button so that with just one click, the report is saved automatically every day. I go to the Developer tab and click Insert. The Form Controls menu appears. I select the Button option and draw a button on the sheet. A window appears asking me to assign a macro. I select the same macro name and press OK. The button appears as ‘Button 1,’ so I rename it to ‘Save PDF.’ Now, whenever I click this button, the report is saved instantly to the same folder as a PDF file.
When saving the workbook, Excel warns me that ‘The following features cannot be saved in macro‑free workbooks.’ I continue and save, but this means the macro won’t be available the next time I open the file. To fix this, I go to File, choose Save As, and select the Macro‑Enabled Workbook option. This saves the VBA code permanently. I close the file, reopen it, and test the button again. It works perfectly.

I started by giving Copilot a simple first‑line instruction to set the context: ‘I want to create VBA code without any pop‑ups. Below are the step‑by‑step flow.’ This tells Copilot that we want a clean, automated process with no interruptions.

Once the code is ready, I’ll copy it, open a new Notepad file, paste the code, and save it with a name like ‘Report.html’.
After opening the file, look at this dashboard. At the top, it clearly shows the Data Source section along with a button to upload an Excel or CSV file. When I click the button, browse my folder, and select the dataset, the dashboard updates immediately.
If I scroll down, the results are impressive. Every section I included in the prompt has been created automatically. At the top, you’ll also notice navigation buttons like Overview, Reviews, Region, and Insights.
Clicking any of these takes you directly to that section. Below that, you’ll find search options and filters for Region and Brand, which make the dashboard even more powerful.
What’s truly amazing is that this entire dashboard was created in less than five minutes. A human developer would easily spend several hours designing the layout, writing the HTML structure, styling the components, connecting the JavaScript logic, and building the charts manually. Copilot does all of that instantly, with clean code and a fully functional interface. This is a game‑changer for anyone who prepares reports using pivot tables, manual refresh steps, or repetitive Excel workflows. Instead of rebuilding dashboards every time new data arrives, you simply upload the latest dataset, click refresh, and the entire dashboard updates automatically. No formulas to fix, no charts to rebuild, no formatting to repeat — just instant results.
