The Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) is a certification designed by Microsoft to test and validate the product knowledge and technical skills of entry-level IT professionals.
The Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE) certification focuses on the ability to design and build technology solutions, which may include integrating multiple technology products and span multiple versions of a single technology, whether on-premises or in the cloud.
Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate or MCSA is a beginner-level credential from Microsoft that establishes an individual’s expertise and validates knowledge on Microsoft technologies. MCSA is also a prerequisite to attaining higher certifications in order to achieve better proficiency in a subject. It is the first of the MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) certifications, and quite necessary in the corporate world to demonstrate technical knowledge of a Microsoft product or service.
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert is an expert-level credential from Microsoft. It is part of the MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) certification programs taken by professionals to validate their knowledge and expertise on some of the most popular Microsoft products and services. Employers are always on the lookout for MCSE-certified individuals to administer, deploy, operate and optimize Microsoft-based technology solutions in enterprise environments. An MCSE is an experienced professional to whom the organization can entrust its complex systems.
To acquire an MCSE, one must be an MCSA first. MCSA or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate is the entry-level Microsoft certification.
