Requirements
- There are no requirements for watching the course.
- However, if you want to do the Power Automate Applied Skills, you will need a version of Microsoft Office with the Web version of Excel and SharePoint, such as Microsoft 365 Business Basic (you may be able to have a free trial)
- For the canvas and model-driven apps, we'll look at how you can get use the Power Platform Developer plan for free for use in this course.
Description
This course goes through all of the skills required for the following Microsoft Applied Skills assessments:
APL-7001: Create and manage canvas apps with Power Apps
APL-7002: Create and manage automated processes by using Power Automate.
APL-7003: Create and manage model-driven apps with Power Apps and Dataverse
This can also help with PL-200 Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant exam, with "Create and manage canvas apps".
It can also help with "Configure model-driven apps", "Create and configure forms" and "Create and configure views" for the MB-210, MB-220, MB-230 and MB-240 exams.

In this 7 hour course we’ll cover the skills that you need for the three Microsoft Applied Skills credential for canvas Power Apps, model-driven Power Apps and Dataverse, and Power Automate.
First, we’ll sign up for the free Developer Plan. The tasks that you need to perform to get this skill are:
Model-driven Power Apps and Dataverse: Modify a Dataverse solution, Create and configure Dataverse tables, Modify Dataverse forms and views, and Configure a model-driven app.
Canvas Power Apps: Create a canvas app from scratch, Configure a gallery, Configure a details screen, and Configure an input screen.
Power Automate: Create triggers, Create and configure actions for notifications, Implement conditional logic, Create and configure approvals, and Configure owners and sharing.
We’ll go through several practical examples and a test on the Power fx formulas that we have used, so you can see how you can create your own canvas apps, model-driven apps, Dataverse tables, and Power Automate flows.
By the end of the course, you'll be much more confident about creating Power Apps and Power Automate flows and perhaps even take the official Microsoft assessment. That would look great on your CV or resume.
