• Wash the face with your choice of cleanser to eliminate all dirt, oil, makeup, and other debris that might cause irritation or infection.

• Application of numbing cream is optional, but it helps ease the discomfort during the treatment.  Remove the numbing cream then cleanse the treatment areas again.

• Prepare the hyaluronic acid serum (or other hydrating serums of choice) and apply it before gliding the microneedling device on the skin. This helps the device move more smoothly on the skin and prevents dragging.

• Make sure that the Microneedling Pen is fully charged .

• Dispose of used cartridge via a Sharps container. *If Cartridge becomes inadvertently contaminated before or during installation (ie. Dropped on floor, open/broken package, needles subjected to possible contamination), discard, and obtain new cartridge.

This cleansing is more towards lymphatic drainage and also to relax the client. You can have many ways to cleanse a face.

For this Tutorial, I will showcase this method to cleanses and gently exfoliates, regulating and balancing, refining and revitalizing your complexion. Preserves the skin's natural hydro-lipid barrier (has a slight moisturizing effect), Revitalizes the skin and stimulates its self-cleansing powers.

A good cleansing step to prepare the skin ahead for a advanced treatment with micro incisions traumas. At this stage, you would want to balance skin and repair any issues example: Dry skin etc.

Pre- Peeling preparation of the skin is very important to prepare the skin for this procedure to rid skin of dead cells. At cleansing stage we had soften skin.

You make skip this step if the client has very thin skin / sensitive skin.

Some students are confused with pre-peel and peel during microneedling

Pre-peeling before microneedling is done for several reasons, enhancing the effectiveness and safety of the microneedling treatment. Here are the key reasons:

1. Enhanced Penetration: Pre-peeling helps to remove the outermost layer of dead skin cells, which can increase the penetration of the microneedling device. This allows the needles to reach deeper into the skin, enhancing the treatment's effectiveness.

2. Improved Results: By exfoliating the skin beforehand, pre-peeling can help achieve more uniform and consistent results from microneedling. It can address surface irregularities and prepare the skin for deeper rejuvenation.

3. Increased Absorption: Pre-peeling can improve the skin's ability to absorb topical products applied during and after microneedling. This can enhance the benefits of serums, growth factors, and other treatments used in conjunction with microneedling.

4. Skin Preparation: Pre-peeling helps to prepare the skin by creating a smoother surface. This can reduce the risk of complications and make the microneedling procedure more comfortable.

Some clients may not be able to use Isopropyl Alcohol.

Boney areas like forehead nose bridges may cause clients to feel Slight painful is expected if you are not using numbing cream. Always encourage client to bear a with a little and comfort them along the way. If they feel painful start adjusting your depth lighter and when client gets used to it adjust according to treatment plan.

Some clients are afraid of needles. Always start shallow depth and increase to your target depth. Try some gentle small talk to distract them.

You may take 20 seconds break to allow them to rest. This helps also. Soft spoken comforting words like we are almost done with this part, please bear a little while more. 

Most of time. There is no need for numbing cream. But if you are doing advanced Microneedling you need to have numbing cream on stand by.

Cheeks are the most easiest . At times you may wonder is my depth enough. Please do not judge client less painfulness to increase depth adjustments.

One of the most difficult area due to a lot of curves. Segregate into as many parts 4 to 6 which short strokes. If it is very tight space, use a stamp method.
