In this lesson I want to explain what a blockchain is.

In this lesson we will go over the history of NFTs.

The history of NFTs goes back to the year 2012 with digital assets called Colored Coins, so we will start from that point in time.

In this lesson we will be installing MetaMask which is a virtual wallet that lets you conduct commerce with NFT marketplaces.

In this lesson I want to explain what the MultiVerse is.

When I first bought my HTC Vive VR headset and a computer (this VR headset only works with a computer) a few years back I have paid thousands of dollars for experiencing VR, but nowadays you can get a high quality VR headset (with no need for a computer) for just $299 from Meta (formerly Facebook).

The Meta headset is called Oculus Quest 2, and I recently bought it as well (the upgraded version with more memory space which costed me, if I am not mistaken, $399).

If you do decide to purchase the Oculus Quest 2 virtual reality headset from Meta, then you will be able to download a free app from the Oculus app store which is called MultiVerse.

Multiverse is currently more like a game than a Metaverse. You can visit virtual worlds inside the Meta Multiverse, and you can purchase virtual items with the Meta Multiverse native currency called Meta Coins, but unlike with Metaverses such as Decentraland, The Sandbox Game, and Axie Infinity you currently you can't convert your Meta Coins to dollars or Euros.

Saying this, you can still use the Meta Coins to buy virtual items inside the game. Like apartments and stores, and flip them for more coins (like in the real world) from inside the Meta Multiverse.

You can also promote your digital or offline business inside this Multiverse.

So, in this lesson I will show you a few virtual worlds inside the Meta Multiverse that you can explore, and I will also show you how to buy virtual real estate there (An apartment)

Facebook (now Meta) said it will be spending $10 billion in 2022 to develop metaverse-related technologies, and Facebook (aka Meta) is just an example. Other gigantic companies such as Apple, and Snapchat are planning to go into this space as well. The company Microsoft, for example, has plans to converge the physical and digital worlds.

In this lesson I am going to explain what exactly is this Metaverse that all the the huge companies plan to spend so much money on.

Now, before we start the lesson I just want to say that in this lesson I will be using the MetaMask digital wallet to create an Account with the Sandbox game website, so if you would like to do the same, then please install the MetaMask digital wallet on a Google Chrome browser (we have a lesson in this course which covers the installation process).

In this lesson I want to show you how to download the VoxEdit - NFT Creator software from the Sandbox website.

With the VoxEdit software we will be able to create NFTs, and later sell them on The Sandbox's marketplace

Please notice: that my screen recording software doesn't work well with the VoxEdit software, so I had to use screenshots instead of footage in many parts of this specific lesson. Sorry about this, If you need guidance, then please contact me via the Q&A section, and I will clear any confusion you may have.

So, In this lesson I want to give you a brief overview on how we can create a simple 3d module with the VoxEdit software from a pre-existing template.

Near the end of the lesson I will also show you where in the software we have an option to list our 3d module as an NFT on the Sandbox marketplace.

Before you can list NFTs on The Sandbox you need to apply for the Sandbox creator fund.

But, even if you know nothing about Axie Infinity, then no need to worry I will give you a brief introduction to it in this lesson.

In this lesson I want to show you how you can download and install the digital Ronin wallet.

The Ronin wallet is a digital wallet created by Sky Mavis, the team behind Axie Infinity, and like the MetaMask digital wallet, the Ronin wallet is an extension which can be installed on a Google Chrome browser.

The reason that we will want to install the Ronin wallet is that this digital wallet will let us play Axie Infinity and other decentralized applications which run on Ronin.

Ronin is an independent blockchain (which is Ethereum-compatible), and it was built specifically for Blockchain games.

The process of installing the Ronin wallet on our browser will be very similar to the process that we used to install our digital MetaMask wallet in a previous lesson.

An Axie creature has body parts, and those body parts are what make each Axie creature unique. The reason for that is because body parts provide the Axie with different attributes and abilities. We will go over the different Axie body parts in this lesson.

In order to play Axie Infinity we need to purchase 3 Axie Creatures, and in this part of the course we will want to decide on the 3 Axie creatures that we will later want to buy.

In this lesson I will show how to buy ETH (which is the Ethereum blockchain cryptocurrency) and send it to your MetaMask digital wallet. The simplest and quickest way is in my eyes to buy ETH with Wyre through our MetaMask digital wallet, but you can also buy ETH with Coinbase and other cryptocurrency exchange websites.

I will show you, in this lesson, how I buy ETH with a website called Binance because this  s the only cryptocurrency exchange website that currently works for me.

The reason that certain cryptocurrency exchange websites will not work for everyone is that in different countries there are different bank and tax rules.

When you buy ETH remember that you need to exchange enough money in order to cover both the 3 Axies Cost + transaction fees (Gas Fees). We will need to pay a gas fee when we transfer money from Binance to our MetaMask wallet and then an additional gas fee when we transfer the amount from our MetaMask wallet to our Ronin wallet (we can use the website AXIE.LIVE to view the current gas fee that we need to pay to transfer the amount to our Ronin wallet). Once you are on the AXIE.LIVE website you will notice 2 things 1) that the website constantly refreshes with the current gas price 2) that the higher you are willing to pay for gas the faster your transaction will be processed.

In this lesson I will show you how I buy my 3 Axies Team. I will also show you from where you can install the game. After you install the game, activate it, sync your axies, create a team, and then play. I suggest starting from Adventure mode (You playing against computer bots), gain experience, and then once you feel ready start Arena mode (Player VS Player).

In this lesson I am actually stepping into the Metaverse by wearing the Oculus Quest 2 VR headset, and showing you how to download and install Rec Room VR into your own  Oculus Quest 2 VR headset.

When we earn money with Stepn we can either reinvest the money back in the game, by leveling up or buying more shoes, for example, or we can withdraw some or all of the money to a cryptocurrency trading platform like Binance.com
