Students shall complete a file indicating any project they may know or be working it, a the project characteristigs: objective, scope, cost and schedule. Also they shall indicate the type of project they are working on.
In this section we present the Front End Loading (FEL) methodology which is primarily used in large-scale capital projects, particularly in industries such as construction, oil & gas, infrastructure, and manufacturing. It involves a structured process for defining and refining a project before significant resources are invested in execution. The goal is to improve the likelihood of project success by addressing potential risks and uncertainties early in the project lifecycle.
This section describes the different issues or themes that normally are considered when defining a project execution strategy. It also presents different execution strategies types with one or more major contractors, the way subcontractors are included and the way procurement is done. It highlights real experience issues and a real project execution arrangement.
This section describes the different acting parties on a project execution and their responsibilities. It also includes recommendations for a major project organization planning and setting, and presents the real organization of the project management for a real project.
Students may present any questions related to the themes included in the course, and the answers will be presented to all the students.
