Meditation has been practiced for thousands of years. Once used to deepen understanding of life’s mysteries, today it is often practiced for relaxation and stress relief.

Meditation brings lasting benefits: it lowers stress, helps us understand our pain, improves focus, deepens connection, and nurtures self-kindness.

In mindfulness meditation, we focus on the breath, following it in and out—and notice when the mind wanders. Each time we return to the breath, we strengthen our ability to pay attention and stay present. By focusing on the breath, we learn to anchor ourselves in the present moment, on purpose, without judgment.

Though the idea is simple, mindfulness takes patience. By quieting the stream of thoughts, meditation can bring calm, peace, and balance, supporting both emotional and physical well-being. It helps us stay centered, manage stress, and cultivate inner peace.

And these benefits don't end when your meditation session ends. Meditation can help carry you more calmly through your day.

Meditation might also be useful if you have a medical condition, especially one that may be worsened by stress. Meditation isn't a replacement for traditional medical treatment. But it may be a useful addition to your other treatment.

An official school-issued certificate is optional for students using the course solely for Continuing Education purposes. This is at an additional cost of $55 USD. This course qualifies for 15 CE Credits.
