In this lecture, you will learn about the nature of awareness: an inner knowing that comes automatically without intellectual understanding. We will also explore the various things that we can be aware of. The purpose of this is to begin familiarizing ourselves with the simplicity of awareness and, therefore, the ease of meditation and the flow of life.
In this lecture explore the nature of sound through the lens of the simplicity of awareness. My intention is that this lecture helps you to better sense the fleeting yet precious nature of sound.
In this guided meditation, I walk you through how to deeply listen to sound without effort and without intellectual understanding. The purpose of this to learn to sink even more deeply into the pure isness at the center of our being, releasing stress and anxiety related to the future as well as depression based on the past.
In this lecture explore the nature of bodily sensation through the lens of the simplicity of awareness. My intention is that this lecture helps you to better sense the fleeting yet precious nature of sensation.
In this guided meditation, I walk you through how to feel bodily sensations without effort and without intellectual understanding. The purpose of this is to learn to sink even more deeply into the pure isness at the center of our being, releasing stress, anxiety, and other dense energies seemingly stuck in the body.
In this lecture explore the nature of mental content through the lens of the simplicity of awareness. My intention is that this lecture helps you to better sense the fleeting yet precious nature of thoughts and mental images.
In this guided meditation, I walk you through how to notice thoughts and images without effort and without intellectual understanding. The purpose of this is to learn to sink even more deeply into the pure isness at the center of our being, releasing stress and anxiety related your mental projects based on knowledge of the past and future.
This lecture examines the nature of awareness and its indistinguishability from perception, experience, and the isness of being. The intention behind this examination is to show you that the tacitly assumed distinction between subject and object is a kind of illusion: an illusion which for all intents and purposes represents a reality yet is equally unreal. Moreover, an implication of this is that all perceptions, whether of sound, sensation, thought, or image are real in their own way yet simply a part of the flow of life.
The you, the character, the person, being made of perceptions -- thoughts, sensations, images comprising a life story, is also an expression of this flow.
In this meditation, I navigate us through the awareness of sound, sensation, thought, and image, revealing that at the center of it all is an isness, a stillness, an unconditional peace, love, joy, which surpasses all understanding. Along with this revelation comes the knowing, beyond reason, that paradoxically everything in life comes and goes, and yet everything is absolutely still and silent at the core of all being. Life is like a river flowing. The river swells, bends, swirles, makes waves, and yet all forms the river takes are water.
This meditation is a good meditative practice you can take with you as you flow through life. It will serve as a reminder that you are a roaring river. Like a child at play you effortlessly dance in any direction, laughing, crying, hugging without reservation -- and this is the love that you are.
Here I leave you with gratitude and with closing thoughts!
I summarize all that we have learned (by not learning) in this course: the simplicity of awareness, meditation, and the isness of being.
I also add a call to action: let us manifest a new earth in this dimension, one in which we embody the light of our being in every human endeavor.
In this lecture, I directly address the elephant in the room: the relationship between language, thought, definition, and reality. Herein, I offer some non-dual pointers aimed at deepening your inner knowing of the isness of our shared being.
In this lecture, I continue the non-dual inquiry found in this lecture by pointing out the fact that everything is simultaneously one thing and many things, and at the same time, all of it is unspeakable. What we are cannot be captured in words because it is infinite, and what is infinite cannot have a defined finite definition.
