ADD and ADHD can make it hard to focus & get things done. You have lots of mental energy (that's why you're so smart!) but you have a hard time directing it to one thing at a time. For example, my first year in college I got so sucked into social media that I barely went outside and met actual friends. Sometimes this still happens to me, if I pick up my phone right when I wake up and click on a social media notification before I start meditating for the day.
