Medical Terminology

Are you a student in nursing school, a medical technician or entering a medical program with the hopes of preparing to start your studies? The second unit of this course will describe root words of medical terms. The final third unit of this course will talk about suffixes that medical terms have. Students will be proficient in coding and decoding medical terms. By the end of this course students will be confident and prepared to entering the field of medical studies. Students will see Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary where thousands of words will be discussed using a white board and videography. Students at the end of the course will be certified in medical terminology and be prepared to enter the field of medicine completely. Students will recognize medical terms immediately in their courses, be fully prepared for medical terminology classes in college or at universities, and students will be medical professionals ready to help patients with this plethora of medical terminology.
