Description

Are you a student in nursing school, a medical technician or entering a medical program with the hopes of preparing to start your studies? Students by the end of this course will be able to decode any medical term and recognize thousands of medical terms. Learn how to code any medical term using the Latin system of prefixes, suffixes and root words. Students will also learn about how to construct medical terms with combining vowels.  The first unit of this course will cover common prefixes students will see as physicians. The second unit of this course will describe root words of medical terms. The final third unit of this course will talk about suffixes that medical terms have. Students will be proficient in coding and decoding medical terms. By the end of this course students will be confident and prepared to entering the field of medical studies. Students will see Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary where thousands of words will be discussed using a white board and videography. Students at the end of the course will be certified in medical terminology and be prepared to enter the field of medicine completely. Students will recognize medical terms immediately in their courses, be fully prepared for medical terminology classes in college or at universities, and students will be medical professionals ready to help patients with this plethora of medical terminology.
