Instructor Biography

Welcome

My name is Per Henrik Gullfoss.

Throughout my life I have pursued science, art, and the mythological and spiritual aspects of life. I have the equivalent of a master's degree (cand. phil.) from the University of Oslo where I studied, among other things, history of religion, Nordic mythology and mysticism were my areas of specialty within this field.

In my artistic pursuits I have worked mostly with theater, as actor, writer and director. The best review I ever received was from an inmate in a jail where I played a one-man show about the rise and fall of the world in the Nordic myths. He said, “ I dunno what theater is… but if this is it, I wanna see more.”

Through most of my adult life, I have been a teacher, a guide and a coach, seeking, above all, to inspire.

I have written many articles published in Scandinavian magazines as well as over thirty books, including children’s books. With themes of mythology, philosophy, spirituality and astrology, my books have been published in Norway and Denmark. One of my books , entitled The Complete Book of Spiritual Astrology was published in the USA.
In Norway I have been a founder and teacher of  a school that trains people to become astrologers and tarot readers.

In the course of Mastery of Power and Love; I have used my experience with being the coach of thousand of people and reading a similar amount of horoscopes to seek the souls intention with every incarnation

The very first book I wrote was The Eye of Odin (Odins øye), about the real meaning and wisdom contained within all the beautiful stories of gods, elves, dwarfs and humans.

When I was six years old, I received an enormous book about Nordic mythology and the Norwegian Viking kings, ( Snorres Kongesagaer) from my grandfather. By the time I was 10, I had read it many times over.

As I grew older, I never lost my childhood’s fascination with the marvels and mysteries that played themselves out in the Viking world, where everything was about love, power and the struggle between life and death. I was fascinated by the striving to do great things and by the exciting, magical world these men and women lived in.

This fascination developed into a grown man’s respect for the depth of understanding contained in these myths. For me the Viking mythology and way of life revealed new layers of wisdom as my understanding deepened. I have always longed for the mythological and a bit of the "larger than life" aspect. To delve into this material touches me deeply and opens my mind to other ways of thinking, being and perceiving the world.

It is my pleasure to share this Nordic mythology with you. It is my hope to share with you, and our world, the many insights and joys gained through my fascination with the language and wisdom of Nordic mythology.

So again, this internet course is my invitation to you: to do as Odin … let go, expand your understanding of our world and drink from the magical well of wisdom where Odin quenched his thirst..
