But before I get ahead of myself, here's how to streamline importing photos in preparation for editing.

Streamlining the Import Process

Also, if you want to take photos with your mobile device for editing, Lightroom® has you covered! The in-app camera features give you almost as much control as a DSLR would and here I'll be sharing an overview of it with you.

At the start of editing, one of the essential things to get right is the composition of an image. That element alone can make or break any photo. For that reason, this lesson is dedicated to explaining the in's and out's of cropping within Lightroom®.

Cropping for Perfect Composition

Once you've nailed the composition of your photo, the next thing to focus on is making it look better than it did previously. Drawing out the colors to make your photo look as close to life as possible is one of the many things that you can do and this lesson will help you understand exactly how to do that.

Pulling Out the Colors & Details

Knowing how to correct poorly exposed photos in post-production is another essential skill to master. In this lesson I'll show you exactly how to do that within the "Light" section of the app.

Sometimes all a photo needs to complete the look you want is more clarity and a little less grain. Or perhaps you need more grain for a vintage appearance. Either way, I'll teach you exactly how to accomplish that within this lesson.

Reduce Noise While Adding Clarity

If you are using more budget priced equipment to shoot photos and videos with, odds are you've encountered chromatic aberrations before. If left alone in a photo, the photo will appear to lack professional level quality so in this lesson you'll learn how to eliminate them with careful editing.

How to Eliminate Chromatic Aberrations

Now it's time to learn how to properly adjust the color tones within your photo to ensure that the white balance and overall appearance is spot on. This is another essential skill that no photographer should ever live without!

Making Color Corrections

And now we'll complete the journey started in the last lesson by learning how you can color grade your photos to create a filtered look that fits. All you need to do is decide what color tone fits the best and this knowledge will help with the rest.

Color Grading Your Photos
+ Premium Features, Worth It or Not?
3 lectures 28:00

Not every camera lens was created equal and sometimes we as photographers don't perfectly nail the perspective. Both problems can be solved by utilizing the knowledge within this lesson.

How to Correct Lens Distortions

Even though the basic editing features can take you a long distance eliminating chromatic aberrations, the "Selective" premium feature will take you the furthest if used correctly. In this lesson I'll figuratively hit two birds with the same stone as I teach you how to make selective edits while eliminating chromatic aberrations.

Selective Editing and How to Eliminate Chromatic Aberrations Pt. 2

We all have taken at least one photo that we want to edit something or someone out of. Obviously Photoshop® has way more tools to help with this but if you only need to make a basic/small change, the feature I cover in this lesson might be all you need.

Editing Things Out - How to "Heal" Imperfections
+ The Final Few Secrets
2 lectures 13:51

By this point in time, I've covered every element you need to edit like a pro within Adobe® Lightroom®. In time, I have no doubt that you will find edit combinations that you love and want to use again. When that time arrives, the knowledge within this lesson will prove to be invaluable.

How to Create and Modify Presets

At times, more information and organization is the key to having an effective workflow that is efficient. Being able to show your photos off with a slideshow to prospective clients and friends also carries tremendous value. This lesson will teach you all of these things and even reveal a couple hidden features that the majority miss out on.
