Build a solid foundation for grade seven to eight math by practicing fraction operations and solving equations, guided through eight sections with videos and a downloadable 50-page workbook.
Explore adding, subtracting, and multiplying fractions, convert mixed numbers to improper fractions, find common and least common denominators, and apply reciprocal division with simplification.
Learn to use a calculator efficiently for grade 7-8 math by converting fractions, decimals, and percentages, and using remainder, prime factorization, and the answer key.
Master decimal operations by practicing moving the decimal place, multiplying and dividing by ten powers, converting between decimals and fractions, and performing long division to identify repeating decimals.
Explore how to use percentages in daily life by calculating discounts, taxes, and percent of quantities, and analyze percentage change to compare prices and totals.
Master negative numbers in grade 7-8 math by exploring adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing, with bracketed expressions and sign rules to evaluate results.
Master basic grade 7 equations by solving for x through moving terms, using add, subtract, multiply, and divide, handling negatives and combining like terms with practice problems.
Master grade 8 equations by practicing opening brackets and applying the distributive property, solving for x, moving terms to isolate the variable, and checking steps through worked examples.
Explore grade 8 equations enriched techniques by mastering cross multiplication, clearing fractions, and solving linear equations with brackets to prepare for competition math.
Master powers, roots, and the Pythagorean theorem through concrete examples of side lengths and diagonals, including three and four, six and eight, square and cube roots, and real-life calculations.
Explore ratio and rates through real-world word problems, from student-to-leader ratios to scale diagrams and angle measures. Compute unit rates, speed, distance, and time to compare costs and determine outcomes.
Master geometry basics by calculating circle circumference and area with C = πd and C = 2πr, and explore coordinates and origins, volumes, and surface areas for cylinders and prisms.
Math can be easy and fun, when you find the right person and the right learning materials.
Math in grade 7-8 is a very important stage as it builds the foundation of the whole high school math. While I see students struggle with fraction and decimal operations, percentage calculation and solving equations. I would like to share my knowledge and experience after helping many students excel in math.
This course is organized into the following sections:
Fraction operations
Decimal operations
Percentage
Including discount, tax and percentage change
Negative numbers
Equations
This is a big section. I separate it into grade 7 equations, grade 8 equations, and grade 8 enriched equations.
Powers, roots and Pythagorean theorem
Ratio and rates
Geometry
Including circles, volume, surface area and coordinates
And here’s what you get inside of every section:
Videos: Each video will focus on one specific topic, with detailed explanation.
Downloadable workbook: The workbook is really the highlight of this course. Each practice is designed as one page and focused on one topic. A page a day, masters grade 7-8 math by 50 pages of practice!
Notes: there are notes and examples before practice questions. These are key concepts that you can print out for future references.
Bonus materials: I will include bonus materials such as how to efficiently use a calculator, online problem-solving tools, etc.
Enroll today! I will see you in the next lecture.
