Description

Designed for kids aged 8+ years old. In 7 sections you will watch high-quality funny videos where Jason, a cartoon with a unique personality, will guide you through various lesson activities to conquer important educational goals.

Initially, you will get to know Edison through a short series of playful activities using simple barcode programming: Clap controlled driving, following the light, staying in borders, sumo wrestling, and many more!

Then you will make your own programs for Edison to do more: drive through a maze, avoid the light, play music, dance, even become a train and so many more.

Programming Edison is straightforward through EdBlocks: Drag and drop the blocks you want to build a program.

  • Learning Subject: Robotics

  • Ages addressed: 8+ years old

  • 24 Funny Cartoon Video Clips

  • 7 Sections

Project – Let's make a train

In this project, students initially create a track for the train and then they are asked to program the robot to behave like a train. They are also asked to build (with Lego blocks) and program a second robot to behave like an automatic bar that opens and closes upon the arrival and departure of the train to and from the boarding station.

Project – Let’s find the blocks

In this activity, after the students have become familiar with EdBlocks, they apply the inverse process trying to find out which blocks consist of an unknown (‘hidden’) program. As such, they get to know and apply ‘reverse engineering techniques.

I have to mention that the projects and quizzes are signed by a magnificent teacher and good friend of mine Serafeim Iakovidis. Serafeim helped a lot for the creation of this course and I really thank him very much!
