*Outcome: Learn different ways of asking "How are you?"
A greeting is not just Hi and Bye, but it's something nice to ask when you meet.
Remember to watch and listen carefully.

*Outcome: Learn how to ask someone about their day.
We want to be polite in English, so it always nice to ask someone about their day.
Remember if someone ask you about your day, you can always reply with "How about you?" or "What about you?"

Section 2 | Basic 2 | Lesson 4: Ask for information
*Outcome: Learn how to ask someone for information.
Do you want to know something? Here are some basic questions you can ask.

B: Do you know what time it is?
A: Sorry, I don't know.
B: No worries.
Section 2 | Basic 2 | Lesson 5: Give a compliment
*Outcome: Learn how to give a compliment.
Compliment = is an expression when you say nice things to someone.
It's also a great way to start an English conversation.

A: Wow, I like your jacket.
B: Thank you.
A: Where did you buy it?
B: I bought it at the mall.
Section 2 | Basic 2 | Lesson 6: Thank someone
*Outcome: Learn different ways to say "thank you".
Grateful & Appreciate = They are very similar. Both mean that you are happy when someone does something for you.
Eg. I am grateful (happy) for the present.

A: Thanks again for helping me today.
B: I'm really grateful.
A: No problem.
B: That's very kind of you.
Section 2 | Basic 2 | Lesson 7: Apologize
*Outcome: Learn different ways to apologize and how to reply.
When someone says "SORRY", there are many ways that you can reply.
Practice the different ways with us.

B: That's okay. No need to apologize.
Section 3 | Ask for Opinion | Lesson 8: Do you like ....?
*Outcome: Learn different ways to ask for an opinion.
Opinion = is when you ask someone what they think.
If we like it we can use words like = "it's nice", "enjoy" or "love".
If we don't like it we can use other words like = "it's okay" "it's alright".

A: How are you enjoying your new job?
B: I'm enjoying it.
A: Why do you ask?
B: You look a bit stressed.
Section 3 | Ask for Opinion | Lesson 9: What do you think about ...?
*Outcome: Learn more ways to ask someone for their opinion.
Asking for someone's opinion is a great way to make a conversation!

A: What do you think about my new mug?
B: I think it looks great.
A: Thank you.
B: Where did you buy it?
A: I bought it at the mall.
Section 3 | Ask for Opinion | Lesson 10: How do you feel about ...?
*Outcome: Learn more opinion questions.
In this lesson our sentence is "How do you feel about.."
It is used to ask for a more emotional answer.

A: Teacher Mark. How do you feel about plastic surgery?
B: I think I like it. But not everyone likes it. What do you think?
A: I don't mind it.
Section 3 | Ask for Opinion | Lesson 11: I prefer ...
*Outcome: Learn how to use "prefer" in a sentence.
When there are 2 choices, we use "I prefer.." It's when we choose something that we like more than the other.

A: Which drink do you prefer? Coffee or tea?
B: I prefer tea. And what about you? Which drink do you prefer?
A: I definitely prefer coffee.
Section 3 | Ask for Opinion | Lesson 12: What do you like to do..?
*Outcome: Learn how to ask someone about their hobbies.
Hobby = is an activity that you like to do in your free time.
Example of phases and sentences in the video:
A: What do you like to do for fun?
B: I like to cook. And what do you like to do for fun?
A: I enjoy watching a movie.
Section 4 | Agree and Disagree | Lesson 13: Agree and Disagree
*Outcome: Learn different ways to agree and disagree.
Sometimes in English if you reply only YES or NO it's a bit awkward.
Practice the lesson dialogue and learn how to sound more natural.
Example of phases and sentences in the video:
A: I'm having a good time tonight.
B: I agree.
A: I think it will rain later today.
B: I don't think so.
A: We'll see.
Section 5 | Common Questions | Lesson 14: How was ...?
*Outcome: Learn how to ask someone about things that have already happened (in the past).
How was = Is used when you want to know more about an event that happened in the past. It can be a general or specific question.
How was your day? (general)
How was your holiday? (specific)

A: How was your day today?
B: It was alright. How about yours?
A: It was good.
Section 5 | Common Questions | Lesson 15: How is ...?
*Outcome: Learn phrases with "How is" and different ways to reply.
These are some of the most common English phrases to start a conversation. Remember to ask them!

A: How is your brother doing?
B: He's doing fine.
A: How is your family doing?
B: They are doing alright.
Section 5 | Common Questions | Lesson 16: Did you...?
*Outcome: Learn how to ask questions with "Did"
Did = we use it when we want to know something that already happened.

A: Did you have a nice day?
B: It was alright. How about yours?
A: It was good.
Section 6 | Ask about Future | Lesson 17: When...?
*Outcome: Learn how to ask questions about the future using the word "When"
We can make many great sentences starting with "When are you going ...?"

B: I have no idea.
Section 6 | Ask about Future | Lesson 18: What should...? / What are ...?
*Outcome: Learn how to make sentences with, "What should..?" and "What are...?"
Should = is more like a suggestion.
We can reply with "How about".
Example of phases and sentences in the video:
A: What should What should we eat tonight?
B: How about pasta?
Section 6 | Ask about Future | Lesson 19: Any plans...?
*Outcome: Learn how to use the phrase, "Do you have any plans.. ?"
This is another great way to keep the conversation going.
Example of phases and sentences in the video:
A: Do you have any plans for later?
B: Yes, I have some plans for later.
A: Do you have any plans for tonight?
B: Yes, I have dinner with my family.
Section 6 | Ask about Future | Lesson 20: Where should...?
*Outcome: Learn how to ask someone's opinion on where to go.
Be careful when you should use the verb-ING.
Example of phases and sentences in the video:
A: Where should we go over the weekend?
B: I don't want to go anywhere.
A: Let's stay home. Let's go to the mall.
B: Yasss!!!
Section 7 | Suggestion | Lesson 21: How about ...? / Where can ...?
*Outcome: Learn how to make a suggestion.
Suggestion = is when you recommend something to someone.
We can make a suggesting using the phrase "How about.. "
Example of phases and sentences in the video:
A: How about having pizza tonight?
B: Sure.
A: How about eating Japanese tonight?
B: Sure, I'd like that.
Section 7 | Suggestion | Lesson 22: Which ...?
*Outcome: Practice how to make questions starting with 'which'
Which = used to ask someone when we want to know a specific answer.
In English we use "which" and "what" interchangeably (both can be used in similar sentences).
Native English speakers use both, so it's good to practice.

A: Which restaurant would you suggest?
B: I suggest KFC
Section 8 | Ask about | Lesson 23: Ask about job (talking to friends)
*Outcome: Learn how to ask your friend about their job.
When you ask this question it shows that you care, which is why it's a great question to ask.

A: How's it going at work?
B: It's going great. I'm learning a lot.
Section 8 | Ask about | Lesson 24: Ask about job (talking to strangers)
*Outcome: Learn how to ask a stranger about their job.

Section 8 | Ask about | Lesson 25: Ask about relationship
*Outcome: Learn how to ask more personal questions.
We'll ask someone about their relationship (status).
It's when you want to know if someone has a boyfriend / girlfriend, or is single / married.

B: No I'm not.
A: How about you?
B: Not at the moment.

Students watch and listen to a short English dialogue and learn how to ask questions and how to reply in English.
Speaking Time => Read & Speak
Students watch the same English dialogue. This time the student will need to read and speak what they see on the screen.
