Exploring the Title Tool and how to animate titles.
Understanding the paint tool and how it can be used for Matte Painting or achieving certain effects.

Using the program's built in features, we will be exploring how to track your footage through the two methods offered.
Rotoscoping your footage in order to take out certain elements along with the basics of keying. A brief discussion about Matte Painting.
Animating inside the program using the Puppet Tool.
A brief look at the effects panel and how to apply effects on your composition.
Exploring the Pre-compose option and how it influences your composition and workflow.
Exporting using Adobe After Effects CC through the render queue option.
Exporting using Adobe Media Encoder and how to shift between the two programs.
This course delves into the fundamentals of After Effects. Students will go through the process from scratch learning key terminology and industry-standard techniques. Students will be challenged by understanding the process of creating a composition, key-framing, using the various tools and effects present in the program, and finally, exporting using After Effects and Media Encoder. In just under two hours, students will also be introduced to Rotoscoping, puppeteering, 3D, and the other features present in After Effects. They will also have gained a solid grasp of the formal devices discussed in the course.
