Description
Mapbox is a mapping and location data platform for mobile and web applications. It provides developers with tools to create custom maps, geocode addresses, and perform other location-based tasks using a variety of APIs and SDKs.
Mapbox provides an excellent documentation. While, this can be overwhelming for most developers because it's difficult to know what is available for them. This course provides not only the deep insights into examples but it also discusses the high level technical trade offs and the cost of ownership of achieving the same goal. (It's because there are multiple ways to achieving the same thing in Mapbox). I was with Mapbox with more than three years helping customers implement it correctly. But since I am no longer with them, I will be explaining the trade-offs as if I am your neutral mapping consultant.
This course will make you proficient at Mapbox (i.e. zero to one) and you will be able to know if this tool is right for you. While, this course won't make you an expert. To become an expert, it will require you to spend more time using Mapbox, or you can expedite that process by taking my advanced courses. (or send me a message on what topic you'd like to learn in particular.) There are actually too many topics to cover and I want to be useful to the people who need it.
Thanks and good luck
Who this course is for:
- Developers who want to expedite the learning curve of Mapbox
- Developers who are looking to evaluate Mapbox for their application
- Developers who are curious about Mapbox and its technology
Instructor
I'm currently a Solution Architect for cloud applications.
Before, I was at Mapbox conveying its value and helping customers implement it correctly for more than 3 years.
Before that, I had been a software engineer at multiple industries from IoT, E-Commerce, and a sell-side equity trading. My technical stack ranges from frontend to backend.
While I enjoy building and understanding how things work, in my free time, I go snowboarding and stay active.
