In this course students follow along with the instructor, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Therapist, who guides them through multiple strategies for improving, managing, and taking control of their anxiety.
The course first covers a basic understanding of what anxiety is, where it comes from and how it impacts the human body.
From there, students can get their hands dirty, so to speak, by utilizing supplied materials to immediately put strategies into action. Additionally, the instructor aids students through multiple organizational, thinking, and physical activities. These activities will create a level of control for anxiety management. Most students report feeling improvement in their stress and anxiety right away.
Medications are covered briefly as this course is designed to help students create strategies that can be utilized within their own body and mind.
Each section includes reading material that can be read prior or during each lecture to improve understanding. The course offers researched and time tested strategies for reducing and controlling anxiety and stress.
