A bit about myself!
Guitar and Music Production I am an avid music Producer, Guitarist and Drummer. As a musician I'll help you get into music by getting your comfortable with producing and mixing your creations.
My go-to software is FL Studio. I can help show you the basic steps into creating your very own song and the ways you can produce different types of music genres. The music genres I cover for music production: Tropical House, EDM, Future Bass, Progressive house and more!
Lets first start by familiarizing ourselves with FL Studio. Part of getting to grips with a new software is understanding the user interface. So let's start there!
Plugins and Samples are fundamental for making music in any Digital Audio Workstation. In this class we breakdown what they are and why they are important for a music composition.
There is no music without a good old drum beat! In this class we see how beats can be made using the channel rack in FL Studio.
The most important part of any song are the chords and melodies. They bring emotion and help the listener feel the song on so many levels. In this class we look at basic chords and how to add them to the Playlist in FL Studio.
Making chords and adding drums to a track is one thing. Molding the sound to create unique sounds and vibes is another. In this class we start to look at the power of adding effects and samples to your the mix.
No song is complete without some bass. The sub bass falls in the lowest part of the frequency spectrum and is what we feel. In this class we see how to use a basic sine wave to create a sub bass which sits nicely in the mix.
In this section, we break down all of the plugins which FL Studio has to offer and how they can be used to manipulate sound. In this class we look at the Equalizer. This plugin is by far the most important in making sure your songs dont sound muddy and distorted with unnecessary frequencies.
In this class we go over some of the important sound design plugins which are fundamental to any production. Reverb, Delay and Compression. Each one adds depth, atmosphere and character to your vocals and instruments.
In this class we look through the theory behind making chords and chord progressions so you can be more inventive and creative in your production workflows.
