Introduction to our FREE web course - Makerbot Replicator and Replicator 2x: Unboxing, Using and Repairing.
We know how exciting getting your first 3D printer can be, which is why we completely understand why most people just want to tear the box open and get started. Unfortunately, by doing so, you risk damaging the machine, losing essential components and making the set-up process much more complicated than it needs to be.
This course is intended for both new and veteran 3D printers alike. The goal is to show you how to unbox and set up your brand new 3D printer quickly, easily and without doing any damage to the machine. We'll also share with you some neat tips and tricks for operating the machine and achieving optimal prints.
Christmas has arrived early for resident 3D-printing guru, Aitor Molina Encabo, who is delighted with the arrival of his new MakerBot Replicator 2.
In this first video, he will show you how to unbox the MakerBot Replicator 2 step by step so that you know what to do and what to expect when you get yours. Remember, don't rush this process. 3D printers, like any other machines, are delicate and fragile.
Check out the process for successfully levering the build platform on the MakerBot Replicator 2. This step is crucial because if you don't do it properly, you will have a hard time printing anything. What's more, the quality of your prints will be compromised.
In this video, we'll guide you through our first print using the Makerbot Replicator 2 machine. In this case, we are printing the nut and bolt, a design that was pre-loaded on the original SD card that came with the 3D printer.
Watch this video and then try your own print, or watch this video while you're doing your own print!
Another 3D printer has arrived at 3Dprintler headquarters, and this time, it's the MakerBot Replicator 2X (with dual extrusion capabilities). We're beyond excited and can't wait to show you how to unbox the machine properly, taking care not to lose any parts or hurt the machine in any way.
If you find yourself confused and frustrated while setting up your Replicator 2X, you're not the only one. Although this 3D printer is an interesting machine with great capabilities, it requires quite a bit of tinkering at the start to get it going.
Watch this video, and find out exactly what you need to do to get your Replicator 2X up and running.
Although we mostly work with MakerBot 3D printers, we thought we'd cover some other brands for those of you who are still deciding which printer is right for you.
So sit up, watch closely, and compare as Aitor unboxes the Cube, another popular desktop 3D printer.
For those of you who can't wait to get your hands on a 3D scanner, we are including this video on how to unbox the NextEngine 3D Scanner and what to expect from it.
