This exercise is pretty straightforward.

I want you to download and install a video camera app Like (FilmicPro, MoviePro or Cinema FV-5) and make the quality settings I show in the lectures.

If you are in the USA (or country that provides 120v 60hz electrical power) set up your first preset for 1920x1080 resolution at 30 frames per second.

If you are in a country with 220 volt 50hz electrical supply, make your settings for 1920x1080 resolution and 25 frames per second.

Turn on the framing guides and audio metering, and make sure the clips are being saved to your camera roll so that you can find them when you start editing. Film a few 10-second clips in landscape (horizontal orientation).

More than 20 percent of people will click off your video within the first 10 seconds, almost completely missing your message and certainly missing your call to action. How can you capture people's attention so that they watch all the way through? Here are five tips.
5 keys to making a great Smartphone Video

Storyboarding, the process of pre-visualizing your film on paper, is a very powerful way of visually planning your film before you start shooting. For this lesson, you are going to create hand drawn storyboards to convey what you want to shoot. I have attached templates for you to use. The best storyboards are quick, clear and simple. They show emotion, they show movement and—most importantly—they give your cast and crew a clear sense of how shots should be composed.
