The good news is that it's absolutely possible, and it's much simpler than it likely feels at this moment. This course is part of a larger module that walks you through a tested step-by-test process that empowers you to make life work for you.
At the end of this overview, you will know why you are examining boundaries and what healthy boundaries can do for you.
Your boundary patterns influence every choice you make in life, greatly impacting your satisfaction with outcomes. By the end of this video and the accompanying reading, you will understand what healthy boundaries look like and how they influence your decisions.
In this section, you examine the boundary patterns you learned in childhood. Understanding these will help you recognize why you may feel the need to protect yourself or why you are NOT protecting yourself. At the end of this section, you will understand if the boundary patterns you inherited are healthy and if not that insight will allow you to choose differently.
Now you should be able to see some of the boundary styles that were used in your childhood and how they influenced the choices you made. In this section you will link that childhood conditioning to your current patterns to understand if the fences you erect (or don't) are protecting your house without isolating it. At the end of the accompanying exercises, you will be able to see where you are using the patterns you adopted early in your life now and how you may be making fear-based decisions, rather than decisions that honor what your heart wants to create.
In this section, you reflect on whether the boundaries you are using help you make life work for you or whether they are costing you the life you want. The prompts in the exercise walk you through a process to define new boundaries. At the end of this section, you will know exactly where in your life you need to adopt new boundary patterns and you will plan for what those look like.
