Tosh Lubek is a multi award winning broadcaster, writer and video production specialist who has worked with radio and TV broadcasters, advertising agencies and direct clients. In a 30+ year career his work includes radio and television advertising, video production and radio programming.
Tosh has also shared his knowledge as a guest lecturer, teaching students at both Aberdeen and Ayr Colleges. In recent years he has worked as a consultant, teaching video production to SMEs seeking to make their own promotional videos easily and affordably.
Tosh works with local and national clients on radio, TV and video production projects. His clients include local government, the National Health Service, Scottish Natural Heritage, Scottish Television, Fife and Ayrshire Chambers of Commerce and numerous advertising agencies.
Tosh started in traditional media but embraced new media as early as 1995 when he created his first website. In 2007 he launched an entertainment channel on Metacafe, then the third largest video sharing site. This allowed him to make videos that attracted millions of views, earning the channel significant revenues from Metacafe’s Producer Rewards program. Further channels followed on YouTube for local video marketing, product review videos and business tips. The revenues this time coming from business clients, Google’s advertising revenue share and affiliate programs.
In 2010 he launched Tosh Lubek Productions, a media production company based in south west Scotland, offering audio and video production services to clients across the UK. His ability to make videos that convert and also make videos quickly has attracted many clients and has been much in demand to make website videos and TV commercials.
The work of Tosh Lubek Productions has helped with the commercial success of many clients. For instance, when Tosh was asked to make videos for Kirbie Engineering Solutions they helped increase sales by almost 200%. A product demo video for a new ladder safety product helped another Scottish client sell most of their initial stock within three weeks of launch. There have also been numerous successful radio commercials. Campaigns for the National Trust for Scotland helped the Trust achieve their “best ever Easter” and doubled visitor numbers at their Haddo House Christmas events.
Industry awards have come Tosh’s way for his work in broadcasting. As writer and producer of a road safety campaign he landed a Gold Sony and Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in the New York Festivals International Advertising Awards. Another advertising campaign for Strathclyde Fire & Rescue and a radio documentary brought further award success in the United Kingdom and the USA.
