WordPress for Beginners - Create a WordPress Website

I've created a list of web hosting options that I have personally used in the past. These are my recommendations but you are free to choose whichever hosting provider you want.

In this lecture, I'll be showing you how to sign up for web hosting, how to choose a domain name, and then we install WordPress so we can start building our website.

Web hosting is where all of your websites files are stored and is required to run your WordPress site. The web hosting provider I personally use and highly recommend, is Bluehost. I'll leave a link to them down below if you're interested in signing up with them.

In this lecture, we install a new theme called Astra, and we also install two super useful plugins called Elementor and Starter Templates.

In this lecture, we change the logo of our website and add a site icon. The site icon is the small logo that appears in your browser tab. (ex. Udemy's site icon is a small "u").

In this lecture, I show you how to edit the demo content on the home page. We start by changing some text, increasing the font size, uploading new images, and rearranging content.

In this lecture, I show you the easiest way to add new sections into your website and how to customize them.

In this lecture, we completely remove one of the pages from our website.

In this lecture, we fix the contact form on our Contact page and change the Google Maps feature to show the correct location of our business.

In the lecture, we update our permalink structure to show the title of our pages in the website URL. Instead of showing "websitemakrs.com/pg=123", it will now show "websitemakrs.com/contact". Simple change that does incredible things for your website!
