  • How Much Yarn You'll Need For Different Size Blankets & How Many Stitches0:59

Here's a really helpful cheat sheet I've made to take all the guesswork out of how much yarn you'll need for different size blankets, and also how many stitches you'll generally need to cast on.

By the end of this section you'll know exactly how much yarn you'll need for different size blankets.

  • The Crochet Cast On For Arm Knitting3:17

In this lecture you'll learn how to do a crochet cast on for arm knitting.  This is by far the easiest and most versatile cast on.  Unlike the long tail cast on which most arm knitters teach, this one doesn't have any guesswork so you don't have a super long tail, or end up with no tail at all if you guess the length you'll need wrong.

By the end of this lecture you'll know how to make a perfect cast on edge for your blanket AND will also know how to get the width of your blanket exactly how wide you want it.

  • Knit Stitch4:50

There are two basic ways to add your first row in, and each one looks different from the other.

Pay close attention to the video so you know which type of first row you prefer for the end look you want.

By the end of this lecture you'll know how to do a knit stitch, and you'll know 2 different ways to put in the first row of your cast on.

  • The Purl Stitch And Creating Textures2:38

By the end of this lesson you'll know how to make a purl stitch and also how to create some texture with knit and purl stitches on your blankets.

  • Casting Off and Weaving The Tail3:27

Casting off is very easy, it takes only a few stitches to understand what's happening and then you're free to go as fast as you want.

By the end of this lecture you'll be able to cast off (make the finishing edge of your blanket) and hide the leftover tail for a professional finish.
